Any news about v2 TOPCOIN? We are still getting prepared to announce the release We will update this thread as soon as we have news, and will probably start a new announcement thread for v2 once we are ready to start the countdown! All TopCoin services will be migrated as well, and we will let you know when each one is ready on the new thread. For now, keep checking here for more updates! |

What will be changed in v2?

specs are: reward 5, pos 50%, and scrypt
Coin cap is also being changed from 23 billion to 23 million - 1000:1 burn ratio. This will be done handled in the v1 to v2 exchange topdude mentioned here:
We have made a script, where you will input your v2 address and be given a v1 address to send to.
after 6 confirms it will send back v2 coins. There will be a limit per transaction of 50million v1
Its a totally automated process and we will keep a running total on the site, of how much is left.
so to do this we will premine the new coin 23 million, to cover the 23 billion v1.
We will keep the swap system up for about 1 month. or until all the coins are swapped, which ever happens first.
then after that time, the v1 network will shut down.
At the end of it any v2 coins not distributed, will be funded to the faucet for public distribution.

Why scrypt? X11 is much better and normal GPU miner can take part in POW

When will topcoin2 start?
I have held my topcoin that I mined through all this time waiting for better time.
I was mining from the day2 with about 25MH/s so there is a solid stack that i hold.
It is true,that I forgot for some time about the topcoin,but
I was hoping for the better time,that is maybe coming.

I'm not sure on the official date - I know topdude and devs working on it have been testing things, so I'm sure it will be soon. We will make an official announcement here, and will be opening a new announcement thread for v2. It will be easier to migrate services that way, as we can update the new thread when each item is ready. |
