It depends on your knowledge and skill. Some ICOs are potential groundbreakers while others will vanish sooner or later. You have to do your own research about them. Often there are signs of projects that can stand the test of time such as reputation of the owners, quality of the project, MVPs, etc.

Yes it all depends on yourself, all investments is risky, you just need to find a right time and good project or ICO you will invest to, also always think of the profit you will gain and have a timeline on that in order for you to classify if your investment will not go to waste, also always invest in the successful projects, research about everything to have some back ground about the project.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Make invest in cryptocurrency will be very risky if you don't have any trading plan to reduce the risk. And possible to reduce the risk when we always use risk management  in every trade. High volatility  of crypto is so high and this will be promising high profit too,  and with risk management like use stop loss and trailing stop in every trade the risk can be lower. High profit and low risk can be possible in crypto, if we can manage the risk better.

according to this, if you are panicked and upset because of the fear of future losses, which often happens, and it is very risky for beginners to invest in cryptocurrency because the price of crypto is volatile means up or down without prior notice. so you should do a thorough research before invest. They must learn which coins to invest or which ICO projects they should invest.

You need to differentiate between personal risk vs. market risk. Crypto is an undeniably high-risk market, but your personal exposure to this risk is entirely under your control.

You minimize your personal risk by (1st) keeping your overall investment in crypto to what you can afford to lose tomorrow, and (2nd) securing your crypto coins yourself via hardware wallet or another secure offline method.

Lastly, when selecting which crypto(s) to hold, understand crypto coins tends to be a social/psychological/branding market, much more so than a technical one.

You're right, the likelihood all coins go to zero is nil...but you can't say the same for individual coins. So if you want to minimize your personal risk, you should focus on limiting the size of your investment over other strategies like portfolio diversification or analyzing the technical merits of any particular coin.

Risks are everywhere, but for newbies specially scams are more dangerous than actual risks. Scammers trap those newbie and take their money saying they would double triple their money which never happens. Don't fall for any pyramid scheme or lending platforms. Don't invest in any ICO just because someone said to invest in that, do your own research, find out everything possible about that ICO before actually investing in it.

Some other risks involved are wallet hack through phishing emails or links. Malicious softwares which can steal your keys/passwords. Selling your coins desperately because it has fallen in value.

In the end I would say, everything needs experience, everything needs patience and everything need your knowledge/your work

User Error - Sending 10 BTC to a BCH address you don't own is a good way to set fire to 50k. Backing up your wallet on your porn-surf computer to a desktop file called BitcoinWallet.dat is a good way to lose too.

As a beginner, you should be patient enough and a lot to learn about crypto. This world that I think it is difficult for novices to invest, by investing you must be sure and make the right decision. If not sure you will lose some of your money. And by investing long-term I think it would be better for the beginner.

I believe invest have two risk, first is loss and second is stress. No one want face risk but as long they know risk is part from invest, this activity is worth to follow. We can't stop risk but only can do something so we can get minima risk. You can use stop loss and take profit point as limit to protect your asset, follow the rules with out ask again. Last one is accept the result, do that and you'll safe from stress.

Investing is a risky game. You need to understand crypto. Next, you find the projects you can trust. This may take a long time. The market is also extremely volatile, so your account may halve before you can react.

It is little bit hard to tell about the risky. But for newbie, they dont have enough knowledge to invest, they dony know what to do when the market goes up or down. They dont know how to choose the good altcoin. And the last is how to manage the money and stress, it is stress when you loss your money, many people panic and do panic sell.

investing in cryptocurrency are totally full of risk, because of highly volatility in the platform, so the best things for the investors should do is only invest in capital that you afford to lose.

Investment in any case must have risks both big and small especially in cryptocurency, especially if the market conditions down there must be a risk, crypto is difficult to predict and full of surprises, essentially if you dare to invest in crypto must be ready with a surprise and active and consistent while continuing to observe the state of cryptocurrency

High risk, especially if you don't take the time to do your research: understanding the market, risk of scams, ICO research before investing (whitepaper, team, utility of the token, etc.), learning about trading if it is something you might be interested in, knowing how to exchange your crypto into fiat (this may not be an issue in your country, but for me would be quite tricky at the moment, if you are interested in).

Additionally, always remember to never invest more than you can afford to lose, keep your private key secure (never share it with anybody else), if you are planning on sticking with crypto long term you might want to invest in a hardware wallet (or consider using a paper wallet) as it will be safer.

Risky that some people are betting their whole life on it. It's hard to get  profits on crypto if you don't commit an essential amount of time on it. The greater the amount of time you give the better so you just don't risk money, you also risk your health and your social/personal life.
