That feeling is your internal buy signal!

Although I did not experience it, but I can understand the bad feelings for those who buy in december or january. But some still survive, and it seems no worse than a surrender. Perhaps buying gradually can give a bit of variation on the portfolio, especially on Altcoin which has almost the same trend.

Anything that has to do with money usually evoke strong emotion. The great investors and business men try to de-associate their emotion from their investment decisions!

I also felt bad as my portfolio lost around 40-50% of its value since the last month but feeling bad about it doesn't change anything. Patience play a big role in this situation. Those who patient enough to hold will be rewarded with profit once the market recovered and the impatient one will lose their profit potential. I'm now waiting for the right time to buy more to average down my buy rate.

I have been watching the market closely all of 2018 and I haven't seen a confirmed breakout from the bear market as yet, There have been several attempts to breach $9,300 by Bitcoin and none have lasted for more than a few days at most. I take a long-term view when we face conditions like these and add to positions that I think will stand a good chance of recovery.

,i highly believe about that and if it does involve emotions well it is really hard to de-associate, aside from that you cannot have a goodnight sleep also from worrying too much about your portfolio. I too had experienced this kind of situation that is why it is somewhat familiar to how does it feel. Maybe that is also why some businessmens go out for a trip to relax and unwind to forget all their problems for a while.

If you believe in the crypto market, then any lower price is an opportunity.
The question is more about money manage then if you believe.

Looking at Equity market, 2008 was the best time to buy.

If you trade on margin this is another story and need to manage you position.
Just buy and hold and flip when the price is high or you made good gain - keep a % then start again.

I remember price of btc at around 50$ in 2009
This was past.

Agree with you 9500$ is 23% correction from last 6k low.
Over that would be bullish.

Weekly close haven't' do it, would need minimum monthly close over it.

But it looks 5.5k will be tested....

This is hard to control being emotional when investing in cryptocurrency. Being patient is must involved in investing in crypto although our portfolio is really bad these days. Good also to buy in these red zone and hold till such time market is good.

The 10% rule help on that - save 10% of your income to invest, then don't invest more then 10% of that 10% in something very volatile like mining stock, pink sheet stock or crypto.

Stating the rule is easier then following it.
Not investing money you can't loose is the major idea.

Well at this point even how strong you truly believe in crypto there are times your patience are going to test you for how long you can hold on. As a long term hodler, im holding some of my coins in my crypto-portfolio for few years now like btc and eth. I can say I gain profit during their past peak price thus I think there's no point to feel down at the moment since I dont have anything to lose already. I just hope this bear market wont last long so other investors can cheer up again and continue to invest in this high volatile market.

honestly, I dont feel bad about my portfolio, majority of my holdings are BTC and ETH. with the bearish market right now, when BTC and ETH bleed, Altcoins bleed more. That time I will gain more altcoins and trade it for quick profit despite bearish market.

Yes,even most of the investors feel bad now because the prices of most of the crypto currencies were one part of three from the last year's price so now everyone's portfolio will look bad but we need to understand that we need to buy the crypto currencies at the cheap price to make more profits so it is the right time to invest on the crypto currencies or else we may regret it later.

Feeling the same.

I understand wall street want to own this market but how low will they send it to crash all hope before they lift it?!
6k was low, like 70% correction of all btc historic price; not only the last move as "usual".

Next target would be like 78 or even 88%.
Gemme a P,... A....

Let's not call on drama.
5 to 5.5k - cracking previous low could do it.
All those stop loss...

Let's see!

in my opinion, even though I did not experience it, but I can understand the feelings of bad for them. Many decided to go full time in crypto, nor will they deny that they feel a little disappointed to see every day how the market goes. But still, more and they hope that things will get better in the future.

I do not feel very well in my portfolio. But I have several coins in which I believe that by the end of the year they will grow significantly in value. And then I will feel good already.

Haha actually I uninstall it and just come back after everything is over. And in come with all the exchange hacking incident I won't be surprise that the market is in major dump. I was like slept last night with 25% losses but I woke up in the morning my losses was over 50% and counting. Likewise, I'll just buy more with this major sale of cryptos.

That feeling is your internal buy signal!

I feel bad about it right now. All my token was down by 50% this past months.
I don'w have any choice now but to hold and wait for it to go back to its price.

This is good, you user quierx16 is the only full member I got to read a post about holding and not a post about panicking. People now a days should really learn to read and study about marketing and things when its about money lost.

That feeling is your internal buy signal!

And now about me I really study a lot since I started here and got to know more thing later on, about cryptocurrency and bitcoin investment and the way of being an investor about the techniques on holding and selling it, in short a traders life. Still I want to expand it I want to more and learn more, also to experience more like mining even mining only works on a good time that depends on the market value. So really no, I do not feel bad about my portfolio because just like user quierx16 learn to be Patient and hold if everything falls in the market.

Well at this point even how strong you truly believe in crypto there are times your patience are going to test you for how long you can hold on. Stay calm when yo see the charts do not feel bad even if you lose a lot just make sure that the money you lose is the one you were ready to lose and this is were it comes in Do not invest more money that you cant lose because this is were the problem comes in that this is the point were your patience are put into a test.

I know this sounds a bit "scholar" but looking at price action on a Elliot wave perspective (study), BTC is "only" in its 2nd wave (correction), next target would be 1.618 from last high.

So some like 35k.

Usual correction on wave 2 is 61.8% we done 70%...
Then maybe another dip under to get the stop one last time.
Holding long term is THE solution.

Fiat are dead anyway and stocks... got pumped like never since 2008.
Next game in town is the crypto!
