Using the same hashing algorithm as #Monero means that ASIC created for Monero can also be used to attack $XDN.  Even the Monero network has to shed more than 80% of its hashrate every time they fork to rid themselves of the newest ASICs.  This is very dangerous for the security of the network & leaves it open to attacks.  A better option would be to use less common, more efficient hashing algorithm(s) alongside a custom difficulty retargeting algorithm to mitigate 51% attacks & timestamp exploits 💪

Networks with small numbers of nodes are less secure & reliable than established networks.  Not every crypto gets a high price tag like #bitcoin so mining incentive can wane when markets are down.  Masternodes not only offer security, but user incentive & features... $XDN upgrade

Hi,
I have tried to launch my XDN wallet, but there is an error and the application just exit.
I am using the latest DigitalNote wallet. I have the same results with the cli and gui application.

Here is the error:

Does someone know what to do? Thanks.

Correct, we will be transitioning to PoS in place of locked deposits...with the possibility of cold staking in the future.

The #DigitalNote $XDN blockchain, after determined fork roll back height at block 984206 is now ready in preparation for the coin swap: http://cnchains.org/xdn/ .  We will soon release a wallet update so that users can use the old chain to swap over to the upgraded chain.

The new #DigitalNote Proof-of-Work algorithm is bmw512 (Wish) and the Proof-of-Stake algorithm is Echo512.  These both provide additional ASIC resistance on top of our VRX v3.0 difficulty retargeting algorithm, preventing the majority of the issues that $XDN faced in the past.

7.0.1 is the 7th block version of the old blockchain.  1.0.1 is the first block version of the upgraded chain (different technology).  I will mention to our tech team, though, thank you.
