You cannot really tell or predict what's gonna be the price of bitcoin, it's unpredictable since it has volatility attached to it. Mr. John McAfee always keep predicting and always hyping the price of bitcoin but it turns out not to be as he was predicting this year. So it is best just let the investors and holders dictates the price what should it be.

Not only Bitcoin but all crypto are volatile so yes it is too difficult to know when the price will rise or fall but like you mentioned investors buying will push the price up.

We can't really conclude anything yet considering the fact that bitcoin is quite messed up at the moment. We can hope for the best but we should do things that will save us from the fall occuring continuously. Bitcoin can still get back but no one is really sure when so we should just keep on supporting it no matter what happens.

I think the price will go up to 20k (and go much further) but not in the current scenario. Bitcoin is still a risky investment, and at the moment investors who can make the market floor are going for the dollar and American Treasury bonds, only in a scenario of higher thirst for risk than this factor would be positive. On the technological development side, everything is quiet as well, and the next halving is in 2020, so unless we have news I only see a strong rise in mid-2019.

Yes.I'm also expecting that bitcoin will really hit $20k before this year ends.We may experience more dips happening these days but i believe if you start holding now,you will really gain a huge profit at the end of the year.History may also have high chances to happen again so we just have to keep our faith in bitcoin.

Firstly no other coin will be the leader, no other coin will have a bigger market capital and no other coin will be as famous or in demand. Second the price will always go up and always go down as history has shown us. to make a buck or two you have to buy and sell at the right time and that is a difficult to do.

To name a fixed time that bitcoin will worth $20000 is more like a guess..  A lot of factors always determine the valur of bitcoin but I believe bitcoin will soon rise because the cryptocurrency community is getting larger so is crypto trading . Since all coins depends on bitcoin coin value the price will soon soar I believe.

Well, this is the question everyone is asking. When?

Bitcoin drop too much less than or below $7,000 and some  crypto financnial analyst their target for this year already. I think its $12,000 to $14,000 if  I can remember. 2018 is not favorable year if it will happen. But still I am hopeful of bitcoin that more good news coming out before the year ends.

The price decreases have hit the confidence of many investors hard so there needs to be a period of stability before Bitcoin can steadily start rising.

I rely on Bitcoin potential in the next five years it can be a lot higher than 20K. But in the current stage it's like a carousel.

There is a possibility that Bitcoin will land on $20,000 for the remainder of the year or until January. July is when Bitcoin usually starts its run based on history. If the trends for the past years remain consistent, then we may see another 2017 on its way. But we shouldn't set our hopes too high this early as the market is quite unpredictable.

Many users posting here have mentioned the unpredictability of the market being a major factor. The market is very volatile but still will not stop the prices going from high to low and low to high. The volatility will only contribute to it.

It will happen and our task is to wait until that time. In addition, the increased bitcoin users will make the trust of many people will increase and it will make the bitcoin prices increase steadily. I am optimistic that bitcoin can survive and become one of the economic forces in the world.

Bitcoin already is an economic force, it currently has a market capital of over $115 billion even though the price is below $7000 today.

fluctuations in the rise and fall of bitcoin prices are very extreme mining and market use greatly affects it. the bitcoin price increase depends on the bitcoin users themselves

I am not sure if mining rewards have anything to do with the volatility. There are so many Bitcoin out there that buyer and sellers (not miners) will dictate the prices when they increase and decrease.

We cant predict bitcoin in current market condition and it is falling everyday, I think by next year 2nd quarter the price will go above $20k. This year very difficult to reach that level, may be it can be reach upto $15k. bitcoin price will up that sure but now the current market condition is correction and it will change soon, let see.

I really think that bitcoin could actually hit 20k this year, and the reason to say that is that lightning network is promised to be implemented this tear and with it the whole scalibility that bitcoin has will get fixed, and soon bitcoin will be used for many micro transactions, and we might even see bitcoin being implemented as a payment method in many places, and that will only affect the price in a positive way.

I agree with what you say, with lightening protocol it will only affect the price in a positive way and will probably make altcoins go up in value too so that would a great thing to happen.

I think with the recent trend reversal no one can say for sure when we can expect the bitcoin price to reach it's Ath again. But if by the year end we don't break this down trend than expect us to enter into a multi year bear phase. Lightning network being adopted at a faster speed might help in the Bitcoin price breaking out of this bear cycle.

For my speculation i think it is very impossible that bitcoin hits $20,000 as you can see chart at coin marketcap the price has stable a month ago and it is hard to go further.
