sometimes the review is also not always appropriate.
There are paid reviews which is part of their advertisement so it's not appropriate most of the time. because when already entered online gambling, the main problem is the payment.
If it starts to get shady and the payments are becoming a problem that can be an indication. And if the casino didn't find a way to resolve your payment issue, you know what to say.

How do you guys spot scam betting sites ? Which are the red flags with those kind of sites and do you believe the rating/review sites or they are mainly paid like the ICO review sites ?
Just search in Google before playing with your money at any gambling site. All the legit site have a lot of review for their trustiness. And you can also learn about the scam site just by search in Google. As simple as that. The thing however is that rather than even looking for whether a gambling site is a scam or not, why not even search for those with high reputation and stick with it? It is more like trying to find trouble by using what others are basically not using, and trying to gamble a site to use when you are already gambling anyway makes it sound like double gambling to me. The best is to see the site people are talking about and that is it. But we cannot do anything when a well established site suddenly turning a scam. At those times, we must bear any losses. But we can save ourselves by not keeping big money with the sites at any point of time. Spotting scam will be easier after having such a friendly community but escaping from a scam will not be that easier for any gambler.

How do you guys spot scam betting sites ? Which are the red flags with those kind of sites and do you believe the rating/review sites or they are mainly paid like the ICO review sites ?
A little google search can save you from scam betting sites. If you come across a cryptocurrency betting website and you want to know about the reputation of that website, try finding its thread in bitcointalk forum. See if the thread is active and if the old members are rating it well. That is when you know the difference. But you must be careful, because many people who provide false information, because it could be the owner of the website scam (fraud) or cooperate with the website of the fraudsters. Why would someone be careful in spotting scam gambling site? I will agree here with avikz, everything we need to do is a little search about casino reputation, ans the best place for that search is here in their official thread where anyone can check their team, talk with them and to check what others wrote about that casino. Why would we bother in spotting scam casino sites, why to do that when we can gamble in reputable casinos, there are so many of them? Any way there is a member here game-protect, anyone can ask him about scam gambling sites, seems like he knows a lot about it. Researching about something that you are going too interested in or you would be playing that again. But don’t you think we are doing it at place. We have to rethink about our decision even from root level. Either we are putting our money in a thing, would this thing be legit? Would it be profitable for us? These scam or not things can be solved later once you finalize your field.

You can see the amount of conplains there are currently against fortunejack and betcoin but have you seen their business slowly down, no right they are still out there and people still gamble on it

There are reviews online as some may have been a victim before and be helpful enough to share their experience which is the only way I hope would be pretty easy to be able to know if a gambling site is a scam or not. Also, you may want to just stick with what others are using and those with far better reputation than trying to gamble a site that is unknown and not well used which I feel you will be better off.

Most of the reviews online are the reason why people keep falling victim to same scams on the same websites all over again. Those reviews are faked and sponsored by the scummy gambling sites. I have often seen the good websites are always underappreciated and scam sites like betcoin/vegascasino/bitcasino are highlighted as the best. Bitcointalk is the only place to seek for legit reviews. If that doesn't convince you, you can always start a new thread asking for suggestions.

Making a good research is also a key point to spot a scam but I think it would be more helpful for you to spot a gambler if you would follow my advises because I also came over these scam and when I heard about these things, I came to know that I have been working with a scam since. Scam will ask you to ad referrals to your account if you want to withdraw money.

Some of the biggest giveaways to a scam site is:
1) Poor and improper English 2) New accounts making promises that are uncommon 3) When the rep refers to you as "sir" in every other sentence 4) Cheaply designed website 5) When they buy social media followers, likes and the related
You are very much familiar about the characteristics of a fake website like you have faces these websites very much in your life or you also are running a fake website like one of these. I am saying this because all they points that you have made in your comment are all true because I also worked on a scam once and I found everything there that you mentioned. No, guy, I am not running a scam website. LOL I just have a good grasp on common sense and being able to figure out what looks like a scam and what doesn't. I've also been in this space since 2013 so I've seen all kinds of scam operations come and go.

How long they have been in existence is not even the case as some over the years may have turned out to being scam in some way or start behaving strangely. For instance, FJ has been in existence for a while until lately when they just started withholding huge winnings and taking huge time for them to pay their users with respect to that. All these things are updated review which will help any user of such platform and those who are considering using it to know how to make the best use of such information to their advantage when making decisions.

When the odds are too good to be true and they are talking in "guarantees" terms, then you have to start googling that website for some feedback review because it starts sounding like a ponzi scheme in which you put money and you are told that you will have some kind of guaranteed wins. Odds must be fair at best but the house always has an hedge, otherwise it most likely is a scam of sorts.
Stick to time tested betting firms if you dont want to gamble with the place you are betting at, gambling itself is enough risk.

I think that is very short-lived scam if that happens because even if you go three months, four months, at the end of the day if it is a scam, they would exit when they have enough. For sure there are a lot of things that would be noticed if it is a scam and one of them is that too good to be true like you said.

I usually check on reviews first to know if the gambling aite is a scam. Most players who got scammed make a comment on the said site if ever they experienced it and I usually read first before joining in and registering to that certain gambling casino site.

That is a big problem. There is an industry based on these fake reviews. Most of the websites have their own team or outsource this work to post good reviews on various platforms for their website. It is very hard to find genuine reviews about gambling websites. Also, regarding bad reviews, some even go to the extent of posting those for their competitors. Personally, I trust the reviews given by experienced members here.

As a possible user we would normally seek out any informations towards the site most of the time and i do believe only a few would jump in without knowing sites history.

Reviews are very much helpful for the person to spot a website whether it is a scam or not. But w shouldn’t read only top 5 to 10 comment in this list because these reviews would be excellent as they can be from their company members and I am sure that they didn’t make any comment with which the people will get aware about the reality of their company.

The easiest way to avoid a scam is to simply play at reputable establishments. Usually new scam sites will offer extraordinary, or suspiciously high welcome bonuses, or new player offers that just don't make sense. For example, they might give you a 0.1 BTC free bet with no major wagering requirements, or will offer you particularly bonuses for retaining your funds within the casino, so the they can eventually pull an exit scam.
Stick with the big, well known players, sure they're not necessary the most lucrative, but your money will be safe, and they tend to have the best support and games available. When it comes to your money, playing it safe is often a smart move.
