Why do people go into prostitution?

As per my point of view the biggest reason behind it is poverty. When people are not able to fulfil their basic needs and they have no source of earning. Then they went to do anything for their child for their self for fulfil their needs.

I don't think that a woman can become a prostitute because she wants this, I never saw a normal woman who would say that she wants to become a prostitute for personal purpose.

No woman really want it because its like living in a hell and also they have high chance of getting HIV means this will lead them to death in very young age.Poverty is the only reason for people to become such one and many girls were forced into it at their childhood days itself so they get adapt to it once they became adult.

I have been wondering the reason people go into prostitution, some people will say it is because of poverty,  well am not quoting them wrong but I think there are other things that can actually lead people to prostitution aside poverty. I have come to discover that rejection can actually lead people prostitution, some people have never felt loved accepted even by their own parents, no one have ever hug them or even clean their tears, they show love but are not loved back. This can lead them to prostitution. What do you think is the reason

It is easy for you to say that because it is not you who's involved in the subject,but those People that gets into prostitution are those who have no other option in life,maybe it is because of the place where they are locating or some has no proper education so they cannot apply for other works.

Though there are others that i know in which they enter prostitution because they are really into sex and payments are just a Bonus for their activities.

I don't know if this is really the reason why woman go into prositution. There are so many other ways to earn money without selling your body.  I my country it's very common that the woman is forced into prostitution by their husband or boyfriend. You will see a lot of guys standing outside of the brothel where their woman is working and drinking coffee. It's a clear form of exploitation because I am pretty sure they will take all the money away. I would wish for the government to step in and protect the woman.

I think poverty is the main issue. But still, I think we in this world have enough demand for human resources that if any human really wants, he can get into a minimum payment job atleast even without education to get paid. Prostitution is a trap and a prison. Based on data, the biggest cause of someone becoming a prostitute is poverty...
not being loved is one of the reasons but the biggest reason is because of money. a woman/man who wants to live comfortably but is lazy to find work will more easily fall into prostitution, they only need to satisfy customers and earn money. the prostitution business is easy money so the culprit will not be lost.

Poverty and extra earning there is bit difference on these things, women who go to the prostitution for feeding their family or kids ir someone who they love but middle class girls who have the decent paid salary job still work as escort or stripper for earning extra and they are not really forced in that caee.

Well thats not a good situation for women abused by their husband/boyfriend.

But there's an agency (called dswd here in our country) who protect the rights of women if they really want to file a complaint and be protected. There's an option so they dont need to live with fear and prostitution.

Its really tough situation and as said most people don't get into the prostitution with happy face and really they are sacrificing their life for their family and it happens mostly on the developing countries.

Logically, no explanation is justifiable going into prostitution apart from the same reason that makes people seek white collar jobs - money. A lot of those who go into it adduce poverty or rejection as their reasons just so they won't be frowned at but in the actual sense they go into it because they see it as a real job. What other job satisfaction does a kleptomaniac need? Yep, I know not all kleptomaniacs love that cloak of prostitution. But those who don't  indulge it as a profession, will find flirtatious ways to express that carnal craving. Well, apart from the morality question (I am a moralist) on such a profession, I think people won't see it differently as not a job. So, those who go into it should quit excuses.

Many of them hated their position but life leaves them no choice but to enter prostitution .
i have known some of them and the reason are the same,and that is to make a living by no choice.

Yes many people do not enter here due to poverty they have high aspirations if there is a physical disability in the case of sexual intercourse between a man and a woman in a family then the minds of the men and women of that world have an evil intention to commit adultery in their minds. In a world where both of them do not give importance to each other neglect underestimate do not give proper status the men and women of that world may get involved in strangers without knowing it many are involved in greed for money.

Poverty is the major reason as nobody would like to fall in this zone even women themself. But the conditions or situations at times forces them because they require money to live their livelihood and this is how they earn it. AT times also human trafficking results into them being getting pushed.
