They do not have a total number because they have endless emissions. There can be a lot of them

A very quick google would have given your the answer:

Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin has proposed an answer to one of Ethereum’s more common questions — whether or not the cryptocurrency’s coin supply should ever be capped.  In an Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) on April 1st, Buterin wrote:

I recommend setting MAX_SUPPLY = 120,204,432, or exactly 2x the amount of ETH sold in the original ether sale.

It was a joke on April 1, but after many people supported this idea, he said that he seriously thought over it

The only possible thing for us just wait about EIP1011 to be implemented and i heard that there will be a hardcap for the ethereum maximum supply which around 121 millions ethereum.
Or if in this year the EIP1011 will have already implemented and then we will see the maximum supply below 121 millions

This cannot be said exactly. As much as I know this totally depends on the demand of the coin and the flow of it in the market. So you won't get any exact value to this. All you will get are just assumptions.
