Gullible people are the core of crowd selling, investments and others. If you can't convince them to invest them you lose. Same goes if you convince them to sell.

Lack of knowledge about the market, and the nature of cryptocurrency itself can be a leading factor that affect performance in trading or investment. We have to learn from experiences and learn more, to be emotionally-stable, and to be prepared or be guarded of the possibilities. It's very easy to manipulate the people and make them taking strange decisions that are guided by someone's interest so that affects the market also, very often in negative way. Maybe not in very significant amount but still.

And it's works both ways as well. Positive news could hype the price up. When btc was consistently breaking all time high last year, it's selling like hotcakes everywhere so people's curiosity and attention spiked as well bringing the price to move even higher.
