IMPORTANT: Upcoming changes on STAGENET:

We will be changing to 18 blocks unlock time/confirmations.

Miner_reward included in mined block will have varying unlock_times:
a. Varying from 18 up to xx blocks,
b. xx is under investigation to choose the most suitable value. considerations include pool hoping and how long a miners can wait for rewards to unlock.

These changes will not affect service_nodes reward and will apply only to miner_tx.vout[0].

We will run pool for these changes and keep stagenet network running, so help on stagenet would be nice. This will ensure a smooth, bug free deployment to mainnet.

There will be an additional program needed to run a Service Node:
a. storage server – with separate database and ports, it will be tested with small amount of users, anyone is welcome to provide support / logs/ issues.

Service Node staking requirement will be 112500 after fork block, operator minimum amount is 25 % of full node, the rest can be open for stakers.
a. Node will be active only when node is fully filled and maximum amount of stakers is 4,
b. SN operator can also contribute and lock 100 %.

We will conduct a few simulations with different variables. These optimal settings will be made public later.

The new bad news is that the USA is asking for trade information on all digital assets.
I do not think that will fly but they may have no alternatives if they want to crush alt currencies.

Moving forward after much work

I've been following ARQ on Telegram, and had a look at Tradeogre to see if I could find some background before attempting a trade there.
The thought came to mind that if most of the trades take place there, that then becomes a possible single point of failure.
I had a look at bisq but it looks like ARQ has never traded there.

I'll be interested to hear if anyone has any thoughts on Tradeogre and the people behind it, and I'll probably try a few small trades and see how they go.

In the style of putting some money where my mouth is, I'll put up a couple of trades on bisq to see how that goes.

Sooner or later, ARQ will need some wider access to trading.

In the Announcement, it was mentioned that the storage server includes a database.
From what I have read, and before getting a storage server set up, it would be a really good idea
to install and run the sqlite3 database server/client. I can tell you that arqma-storage-server does not
complain during its installation should sqlite3 be absent from the installed system.
And some hints on what to look for if error messages appear when first attempting to run.

Eventually everything ran. Maybe there was a bug that disappeared once sqlite3 got installed.
What worked for me :
run the arqmad daemon with the public IP and port 19999 as a service node
run the arqma-storage daemon with the machine's local network address
Open up the local arqma wallet
With all this synchronised, begin the staking by typing :
prepare_registration
into the terminal running the arqmad daemon.

Overview

The Arqma development team announces a significant update to the master branch, bringing 32 commits that introduce Hard Fork 19 (HF 19) and related improvements. This update includes important protocol changes, security enhancements, and compatibility updates across the codebase.
