According to some press and rumors, about 40% of all bitcoins belong to 1000 users. At current prices, each of them may want to sell about half their assets, Moreover, whales can coordinate deals or report them to the circle of the elect. Many of the large bitcoin owners have known each other for years and believed in cryptocurrency in the early years when the majority only ridiculed it. Therefore, whales can potentially negotiate to crash or raise the market.

I do not think that this is really possible, since bitcoin is decentralized, nobody affects it. Governments and politicians can not change the price. It does only supply and demand on the market. The price of the next day depends on them.

The bitcoin price movements in years 2017 and 2018 are very different, by 2017 bitcoin prices continue to experience significant month-to-month growth, while the bitcoin price movement in 2018 its price continues to decline and this decline has begun since January 2018. Three months ago, precisely after the G-20 meeting bitcoin prices had experienced growth although only a few percents and survive in a very short time however eventually the price declined again. Furthermore on June 19, 2018 bitcoin prices experienced a slight increase, unfortunately the decline occurred again, bitcoin prices pressed to reach $ 5.600 - $ 5.890. I feel at that time there was a bunch of individuals who were trying to push down the bitcoin price to go lower under $ 6.000.
