Hello, let me clear this doubt some people said that all ICO is a scam but I don't believe them because I have invested in some ICO and make a good fortune, let me give you some clue to invest. 1. When you want to invest first of all research about the particular ico you want to invest in, try to check their Whitepaper because some ICO copy text from another ICO white papers 2. Try to check their LinkedIn profile though that does'nt matter because some fake LinkedIn profile. 3.Try to know their real location even though some use VPN to hide their location. 4.website professional matters a lot because some don't even know how to build website and they are claiming that they are in to Blockchain 5. Despite all this..involving in ICO is a big risk
Number ICOs increased drastically due to higher response from the investors & some scammers have taken the advantage of the investors by scamming them making scam projects. If you check statistics chart of the ICOs the fund raised by ICOs are dropping drastically due to bear market & poor performance of the tokens on the exchange since last 3 months. This is happening due to trust issues between ICOs & investors, Now a days its better to consider following points to along with OP mentioned in this thread :- 1) Investments from Venture capitals 2) Working Product 3) Activities on social media such as twitter & telegram. Also their ANN thread on bitcoin-talk forum & how they answer on questions raised by forum members.

Yes, of course, I agree that today there are many fraudulent ICOs. However, there are also ICOs that will bring in profits to its investors. For searching a such kind of ICO you should spend a lot of time.

It's a very hard nut to crack when one is trying to differentiate which ICO is scam or not. It's not all about the whitepaper or website. Some make really cool websites with outstanding catchy graphics, to lure potentials investors in. Some write big grammar on whitepaper with extremely good presentations and superb road map, yet they are scam. As for me, the very first thing I look at is the team, proper checks on the team helps before any other factor to consider. Then if there is a working product, atleast you know the project has a focus. I'm not saying ICOs that present a product or MVP are all genuine, but most with working products are genuine from experience. Do thorough research before buying in is the key, also know you are taking a risk too so you don't blame anyone.
now it is very difficult to find an ICO project that is not a scam because it all looks the same at the beginning of the ICO project that the scam is only known when their sales are finished. right, it is very difficult to distinguish between real ico and scam, the scammers are very clever to trap people by making their projects look very convincing

it's like you give us instructions as a child, funny and silly but maybe a little help for beginners. I think that what investors should have done, especially in short practical investments, is where the mistake lies. there are many new investors who want to get rich in one night

not just some! but there are so many ICO who are legit. There are some who are the scam. You or everyone just need to be more careful and be more knowledgeable in choosing ICO. the danger is everywhere even in FIAT we just need to be wise.

I would put on one place with the product, as good indicators, technical documentation, namely white paper, and a team with real profiles in social networks, the physical address of the project is also very important.

It's actually quite easy to find out if an ICO is a scam or not. You mentioned linkedin, but that is just hte start.
First off, a simple google of the devs brings up a lot. If they are reputable, they will have a digital footprint that is legitimate. If only things related to the ico come up, it is sketchy.
Also, it is quite easy to double check their claims, like where they worked before or what partnerships they have. If they claim to have worked for a big company, it is easy to reach out to the company and double check. Even big companies are quick to dissassociate themselves with people they never had business with. It is a legal thing and you will find response times fairly acceptable.

Yes of course not all ICO's are scam because I participated a trusted ICO that will pay the rewards that are allocated to your works and also for the investors that are invested they prioritized them to recieved the profit that foresaw in thier investments that they offer. And I think the best thing to do in participating ICO is keeping yourself careful in joining.
Thousands of people made money thanks to the best ICOs. Some of them even managed to become millionaires. I am sure that each of us can find a very good and promising project. Just do not be in a hurry.

I think you are also one of them. As I. I took part in very good projects that gave me the opportunity to earn real money. And there are quite a few such projects. You just need to carefully select and devote a lot of time to this choice.

Indeed, it is not that all of ICOs are scam projects. Some of them are already succeed bring profits to their investors. When choosing ICO, you must search their flaw by all means. Not only a good things you have to find, but red flag is very important to find too. Anyway, it is true that investing in ICO is risky than just holding coins.

On the overall, majority of ICO are scam or not really needed in cryptocurrency. Those ICO only launch to collect money from poor investors that didn't make a thorough research and will become a victim once the team leave and stop developing the project.

Scam is really a lot, a good reliable project is difficult to distinguish. I consider it a good indicator if the project has real partners or large well-known investors.

The very difficult part in investing an ICO is choosing the right project and you have a good idea for choosing an ICO. I salute you for taking a risk investing in an ICO. I don't see any wrong with His thoughts regarding about the ico, in fact all for what He stated was really true. Any investment form has an involve risk as a capitalist, and for seeking or searching the ico all for what he said was indeed also. And mostly, there are still left legits ICO remain and will arise in this field of business too.

Definitely not all ICO are scam but most of them is yes. That's why it's kinda hard to find a legit one. Making investing in ICO is one of the most risky investment in crypto world. Many have loss in this kind of investment resulting into people lossing trust in ICO. Like when they hear or read ICO, they will only think of one word and that is scam.
