What a weird season - Liverpool has 6 wins in the last 20 games (yes, read that again) and with a win tonight we'll still be just 3 points away from 4th spot.
For that to happen though, we have to win against Sunderland who are the only undefeated team at home this season, and have conceded only 1 more goal than Arsenal in home games.

Liverpool won 2 and lost 5 away in the last 10, so buckle up and expect a lot of frustration once again. An idiot living inside me still thinks we win this - just not sure why.

It looks like this week is not going to be what I thought it would be.
Chelsea didn't end on a happy note despite a good start and now Manchester United are also trailing by 1 goal despite having plenty of time left.

I wasn't expecting this but it looks like my fortunes won't be as good as before in the pools given the results of the first 4 games.

Look at the second goal that Okafor scored for Leeds, 5 Chelsea players just looked at doing nothing. wtf is that 

It definitely did not end well for me,,, and I have big mixed feelings about Thomas Frank getting sacked, I mean I already thought it was a disaster to push Ange away so soon and now we have done the same.

I know we did not improve in league but come on we are going far in Champions League why do you destabilize the team right now?

Difficult to engage un_rank; blinded by love and too fanatic to see the obvious. The season we scored the most goals and conceded less, we played the most boring Haram football ever, don't bring me  "we scored the most goals" excuse. Arsenal is perfect, he sees no fault in his team.

I just find them incredibly boring to watch, not sure where the accusations for 'prejudice' are coming from. I couldn't care less who wins it as long as it's not Man Utd.

My data is correct, I didn't say you scored the least open play goals but that your percentage of open play goals is among the lowest - which shows that Arsenal does use height advantage more often than not.

In that case, it's heavily dependent on how many goals the team has scored in total. I could have scored the most open play goals but I'm just very efficient at set pieces so the percentage of that takes a huge chunk from the total, so ranking that is not an effective approach. You could just checked which team has scored the most open play goals and check the ranking.Time for a good hate watch tonight

The English league is overhyped but I just can't prove it; the "high competitive" league is just clubs being inconsistent for no reason. I've seen Liverpool go winless for consecutive games this season way more and yet didn't fall out from the top 7 for once.

Lose 10 games, don't worry other teams would lose 8, win 2 consecutive games and you're back in the top 5. We deserved Arsenal winning the league with zero "wow" moment this season.

Expecting both Liverpool and Manchester city to win - good odds for both.

Is something like i said early for the Manchester United, they are a complete shit they sack their coach and after all winning 4 games in a row makes them be only 3 points far from the second position!!!. How can this happen?

The same apllies for Chelsea and Liverpool.

Sometimes I wonder how some of those lads became a professional footballer- that was shocking.

Those were two avoidable goals but this is another episode of our season. 2 steps forward, 3 steps backwards. Thrown away a good chance to close the gaps on Aston Villa.

For the first goal I'd probably say it was an individual mistake but there did need to be a quick decision even though Caicedo's actions were a mistake but for the second goal obviously it was a complete dud for me.

The chances of getting close to Aston Villa and Manchester United are a little bit hampered for Chelsea.

This is why I don't entertain old era strikers vs the current strikers comparison debate; half of what we have now would not survive the old era defense. The gap between what we had and what we have now is too wide and incomparable.

What's going on with Crystal Palace Throwing away a 2-0 lead you had at the 40th minute before the end of the first half is a shambolic display, worse when it is in front of your home crowd.

Their great early start to the season is the only thing keeping them away from a relegation battle, a battle is still think they could slip into if this run of performance continues.

Lucky win for Aston Villa with own goal in last moments of the match, but three points is all that count.
I dont think I am moving up the leaderboard this round, but difference is not that big like in other pools.
We dont get free bets anymore here, so I dont really care who wins the round.

I guess it was overconfidence. Just like what happened in Chelsea vs Leeds. Chelsea were leading 2-0, but the match ended in a draw. Chelsea need to win every remaining  of their games if they want to become champions this year. But after drawing with Leeds, I do not think they still have a strong chance to win the league.

Looks like this will be your worse matchday, I see tou only got 3 points.. I am only 2 points behind you, so watch out. I might take the top spot again soon. lol

This league is getting wierder by the minute. Some teams that are expected to win lose at home especially,like this match for example. I understand that Crystal Palace sold all their main players but to drop a 2-0 lead is insane against Burnley and to make it even worst they lost the lead in just 7 minutes. I think the relegation battle will be really close,a lot of teams dropping points and now we even see Burnley coming up with some points,even Wolves got a point.

I wouldnt be surprised if Crystal Palace drops down a lot more and heads into a hard battle for survival even tho they got 32 points,currently they are really weak.

Can’t believe we beat Sunderland to be honest, I was fully expecting a loss there as they hadn't lost a home game in the PL all season.

This does not let Slot off the hook as we have been awful for most of the season but it’s a much needed win inthe battle for a CL spot.

Remember, Liverpool also beat Arsenal first,,, also from a setpiece to teach them how to concede without scoring themselves, so I guess Liverpool are full of contradictions 

I am happy, for sure, I picked Liverpool instead of Spurs for a recent bet and it all worked out.

The best thing was Chelsea and Manchester United both drew so now it is looking better for you guys.

But.. I did.
Statistics are from before this GW, and Arsenal rates 6th overall in open play goals. Percentage-wise looks like this:

Open play goals:
6. Arsenal 22/46 (47%)
5. Brighton 23/34 (67%)
4. Aston Villa 23/35 (65%)
3. Man United 26/44 (59%)
2. Liverpool 27/39 (69%)
1. Man City 31/49 (63%)

As you can see, only Man Utd is a goal short to be over 60%, and the top 5 overall percentage (average) is 64%, whereas Arsenal is sitting at 47%.

Only teams worse than Arsenal are Palace with 10/25 (40%), West Ham with 13/29 (44%) and Brentford with 16/36 (44%) goals from open play. Sunderland and Newcastle are close (just below 50%), where Chelsea is currently as well.

Yeah, I mean it’s an incredibly disappointing season as a Liverpool fan but we really have to finish in the CL positions. Beating Sunderland keeps us in a good position to attack the last part of the season.

Chelsea have the worst fixtures out of the teams vying for 3rd, 4th and 5th which will qualify tor the CL.
I am still not confident about us making it but of course I have hope.
