A surprise not so good start for me in this pool in which i always behave in a super good way, but im not concerned because in the rounds 10 to 15 is when i start to solidfy my position and where everyone can see how is gonna be the season for them.

So lets see this season which surprise it have for us and which user detects it sooner and take an advantage from that.

Fk me but Everton are determined to be as dull as possible, and Leeds are all-energy high-octane blockbuster film with shitty endings.

United? Nah. Saka's going to steamroll them.

Saka has barely been able to get into the game, Gyokores either. We got the trusty threat from corners to give us a lead, but it is a very tight one and we have not played wehave bell. On the balance of play, United have been the better side on the balance of play and could still win this.

Old Trafford is never a comfortable place to go to and I will take a scrappy 3 points if we can get it.

I'll take 3 points any time, any day, any situation... in fact the only time I don't like 3 points is when an error is made in our favour, not that karma plays any attention but it's just football superstition that things even out and referees subsconsciously try to balance games later.

I am surprised to see not many players getting exact predictions in first round of Premier League.
Maybe something changes when round completed with Leeds vs Everton, but right now nobody have more than two exact predictions.

I never look forward to Monday fixtures, they usually turn out to be bore-fests for some reason. Leeds are looking like a team that will push to stay up, and so did Sunderland, they were brilliant.

Gyokores showed great desire, speed and strength. He had a few miss-kicks and poor passes, but did not get any real service he can be judged by.

They had 22 shots and 7 shots on target. If you don't score then, the striker position is probably worth taking a look at. I still can't believe a player like Zirkzee is with them. That says a lot about their transfer policy.

This is true, Id rather have 1 shot and 1 goal compared to double digit shots that actually came from long range shot that got denied easily by Raya

Statistically we are abit better than last season but we lack the finishing touch as always, I have some hope on the three new signings and they were quite good so yeah Im kinda optimist that we will win against Fulham next week. Goalkeeper is still a problem for us, we probably wouldnt be able to sign Donnarumma so yeah we gotta stick with either Bayindir or Onana for the next 6 months

I agree, it didn't look as bad as it did last season. But this minimalist style like 1 shot 1 goal, to be honest I think it doesn't work very often consistently through out the season unless you have a brutal defense that is making no mistakes. Top teams that were all about the defense was Inter Milan in their prime for example, or Atletico Madrid, but that is years of work for a coach to get the team to that point that in 90% of the time a single goal is enough to win most of the games.

You can see that most teams are able to score against stronger teams. They don't necessarily beat the favourites, but if the favourites were to play for that one goal only, I think it would go wrong more often than not. Arsenal was about to lose it if Manchester United had a more compelling approach to score at least one goal. They lacked the right ideas as soon as they came closer to Arsenal's box.

I wish Leeds were able to win by 2-0 instead. But it is still a handy result for me as it gave 1.5 points. Everton were really bad today. David Moyes has a really tough work to do about resurrecting them.

While Isak's future is still not decided I'm already questioning whether Liverpool really need him now. No doubt he is a wonderful striker. He has proven it already.

But the way Ekitike started the season made me think maybe he could stay as the 1st choice and they can sign a decent backup for him.

Managed a new low this season, last place is really something when there is 64 of us playing. Even Strongkored that is equally bad is in front of me on alphabet, good work man

I'm surprised you missed out too - I went with a draw in that game, was on spot untill 84mins. This is the highest I've gone on the table for the past 3 seasons playing. The Top 5 payout is just too watery to not be serious about the pool   

I've submitted my CS for MD2 to show how serious I am about the pool this season - might do some + & -  before kickoff though.

The Wednesday weirdo games are the worst. Noone even remembers them. Leeds... I don't know, they will always push and maybe this isn't Bielsa Leeds that will run out of batteries by Gameweek 20 but they will face sterner tests than Everton. That penalty was a riot, can't believe it took 5 minutes of VAR to still give it, I would be ashamed to take the PK from that.

Wow. I only managed this once as far as I remember, and this was in Formula 1 where I could at least have an excuse it's not my fairground. Pretty amazing, keep it up!

Yeah I always enjoy this pool, been doing it for years. I came 2nd the first season, won it the second season but been crap ever since. I always like to do this one as I like to think I know more about the PL than other foreign leagues.

Everton are rubbish aren’t they, should have been relegated but escaped narrowly a few times in recent seasons. Hopefully this is the season they finally get dumped

Everton again wanting to play for relegation? I really expect more from them in this season but well what can i say from a team who instead of playing with his new star (Grealish) they sit him on the bench and play with the exact same shit team from last season all over again.

Now looking for round 2 and start to collect some more info about the teams on away/home games.

Everton and West Ham are the two teams I want to see relegated; they bring nothing to the league other than average performance every season after spending a lot of money and having nothing to show for it.  Look at Brighton, Notts, Bournemouth, and Fulham; I expected Everton and West Ham to be at that level, but nothing.

I honestly didn't know Westham Antonio retired from football after that accident. Danm it! Saw his new appointment.

As for Everton, I don't know they always the do it, they surely always do find a way to survive and I don't think this season would be any different, I think it's always that the tend to have some good defense, and even when they don't score the most amount of goals every season, they don't concede the most either, they always magically get their selves just about the right amount of 1-0 victories that is always in the end enough to keep them in the top flight for another season, that's why till date they remain one of the few teams to have never been relegated from the premier league.

Playing for relegation, but never getting relegated, that's the Everton way, lol. I am not too sure if Grealish would improve this team, his style of play is so boring and basic, hold on to possession and play a pass back, he does not take on players or dribble past anyone like wingers should do. I believe Grealish would start the next game against Brighton, though i don't see him as a player who would have made a difference against Leeds.

This was a great start for Leeds in first Premier League match against Everton after they returned from EFL Championship.
I am not sure they can continue winning every week, and they are facing difficult away match against Arsenal this weekend.

Only 7.5 points for me in first round of Superbru pool, but I am not the one to give up easily.

Best ever run in centuries and could not keep the following season- sold all their best players.

There's always 2/3 prompted teams getting relegated back to the championship before GW 30 making it easy for Everton to survive the remaining slot. It's more about other teams taking the fall and doing them a huge favor at the end.

After you said that I wanted to check out Nunez's first ever Premier League match. You are right. He also started the same way. 1 goal and 1 assist. Yes, Chiesa's goal was quite unexpected. He was even among the players to be sent from the team.

Leeds had a really strong start. My score prediction was 2-0 so a close one. They have been really active in the transfer market so far. But it is difficult to say this would be enough for them to stay in the league for now. Most of the promoted teams find themselves in the relegation zone in their first year already.
