The first sales of 5BTC have happened at Cryptorush, so we're definitely going up. Smiley

What do you mean? I don't see a 5BTC sell order on there.

Wow, Oakpool down and can't log in. What a huge surprise. First was mining-road, the "Official Launch Pool" and now Oakpool, a "Preferred Pool". Anyone else seeing a bit of a pattern forming? I still have coins at both pools that I can't get.

You should never leave coins on any pool, no matter how much you trust or believe in the pool.  Leaving coins on a pool is exposing yourself to unnecessary risk.

The pattern you are seeing with pools going down has nothing to do with any kind of conspiracy or ill intentions, it is simply a lack of motivation for pool operators to pay enough attention and devote enough time to keeping their pools running properly.  Pools require some degree of maintenance and upkeep, and when there isn't much profit motive to do it then people stop doing it and pools go down.

DuckPond.io is committed to DUCK, we believe that in a couple months each DUCK will approach $1,000,000.  We are in this to win and we are not bailing out when DUCK has only actualized 0.5% of its potential.  Come join our pool, we won't let you down.  There may be bumps along the way, sure, but we will stay the course.  Our pool has been running nice and smooth for weeks now Smiley

You should have received an email, but long story short -- we got hit hard with the GPU coin launch that effected all of our pools. While all that was happening, we've been having a very crazy week with our full-time jobs (launching a new iPad app, finishing a motion graphic video, starting 2 new websites, and wrapping up 2 other websites). Not looking for sympathy, just being candid and transparent.

Mining-Road had legitimate issues and just went MIA overnight -- so I understand your frustration -- but we are in no way affiliated with the Duck Coin Team. As explained above, they had nothing to do with our pool going down. Your coins are safe and we expect to be back up hopefully tomorrow. And when we are, I'll personally come back and PM you on here since you perhaps are not getting our emails.

I believe it has to do with them removing dead coins, i.e. coins with little to no volume.

Cryptorush tweeted earlier, "We are currently in the process of weeding low volume markets out."

I think it still had a volume of about 0.2 BTC per day. On the other hand, the coin is not really making a dent right now. Sad

Pretty much. Was your question on how to solo mine specifically?

But as far as info goes this was my experience solo mining. I was mining this around when it came out (the difficulty is still roughly the same now) I was making less solo mining than pool mining on 2MH/s by far it seemed. Block reward is pretty small. Unless you have a lot of mining power just join a pool for this coin.
