http://duck.scryptominers.com/ is down and my "coins" blocked there.. is this a second scam to take the miners piece of ducks? or what is happening with these pools duck answer me!

Yeah they went completely dead out of nowhere. I already moved to DuckPond and I believe most people either did or just called it quits. Annoying. Luckily I kept withdrawing from them because I was worried this would happen.

EDIT:

Ahh they posted on the pool, "We are moving this pool to another server. If you are having trouble connecting, please be patient we are working hard on all of our pools."

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Ducks of a feather flock together right? We felt bad for anyone who got burned by Mining Road ... so we waddled through the thread and found an interesting breadcrumb.

The owner of Mining Road who may be the key to setting your trapped ducklings free is this fellow:

https://twitter.com/lmfsthefounder/status/434040129821237248

We know he has ruffled some feathers, but please keep it respectful when reminding this fat goose that you should pay your customers not just your taxes  Grin

How did we find him, well when deleting all Mining-Road's spam posts last week, we noticed that this post had a different twitter handle than alllll of the other posts on the forum...so we left it up just in case.

Quack Quack.

I must say i'm getting disappointed with duckduckcoin, talk of a large "Senior" team working round the clock on duckduck, there was alot of promise with the 100BTC collected you'd think they'd spend it on proper marketing and getting us on a proper major exchange, the first page in this thread hasn't even been properly updated, community is dead and all i can see is a bunch of big red text about a heist.

I have the feeling they're buying much coin back at the IPO price with profits made with daytrading. Just don't sell and you're fine. I'm pretty confident that the coin will reach 25 BTC by the end of march and 75 by the end of 2014.

How?

1. There are 2,5 times as many DUCKDUCK as 42, so you can equate that to their price, making the 10 BTC now very low (42/121*200 = 60.42 BTC)
2. Everything will be mined in the year after launch and mining will be interesting with implementation of KGW.
3. The raised IPO money is used to buy parts of the stash back, making it relevant for the devs to raise the price to use some of the BTC for PR and marketing.
4. The specs are pretty good. It's fast! Smiley
5. It's scarse.

There never have been and never will be "official pools" for any crypto-currency.  Anyone who thinks that the dev team appointed an "official pool" is mistaken.  Mining-road was simply one of the first pools to be available, they worked with the dev team to provide early support and for that they were deemed a "preferred pool" for a brief time.  Mining-road did not work along side the dev team to fix the (very simple) TX fee and payout problem however, they decided to just take that DUCK and run rather than fixing the pool.

Maybe the DUCK team can make DuckPool.io a preferred pool now, in consideration of how well it has been doing  Smiley

Don't let one bad pool make you miss out on DUCK.  There are bad pools associated with every coin.  Some get hacked, some are just garbage, and some steal creds and coins.  You must choose your pool carefully.

You are right, there are bad pools everywhere. But where you are mistaken is that in the first post the words "Official Pool" were put next to the Mining-Road link. Just because it has been edited and not there now doesn't mean it wasn't there when Duck launched.

it was, exactly like RB25 says. I second/saw/witnessed that.

So, anyone else want to deny that the dev endorsed mining-road as the official pool? I would say the dev is partially responsible.

Where are my .00007855 DUCK devs?

The difficulty even went down to .8 yesterday. Pools I am on keep going down. I'm guessing most people are moving on at this point or have not realized the pool they are mining on is down.

I'm more interested in how much they lose with their silly Operation MaxCoin Pump & PandaCoin Blitz, seems to me like a bunch of amateur with a mind of high school kids. Maxcoin and Pandacoin is a pump and dump coins and i dont know why duck got involved. They promised media coverage, nothing so far, i'm guessing they are \\duckoliticians\\

Whys this coin being sold so low?

No real logical explanation. I felt it was selling quite comfortably for the time being at 30 BTC, but I'm assuming miners sell what they have for dirt cheap just to get rid of it and are constantly competing for lowest price. But the time they spent mining was essentially pointless selling that low. I would rather wait it out than to sell. For example looking at the latest sell on cryptorush, .0006 for a dollar. I believe someone commented earlier, "Oh man I really need to cash out to get that pack of gum."  Tongue
