http://www.coindesk.com/russian-prosecutors-office-btc-e-investigation-hoax/BTC-e, one of the largest bitcoin exchanges on the market, was rocked following an announcement published on the website of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Volgograd region on Monday. The statement claimed BTC-e was “under investigation” by the office and it quickly generated plenty of fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD).
So it seems that we can trust BTC-E.... at least for some more time..
Although btc-e has been around for awhile now, I would never trust an exchange that doesn't reveal who they are. Give money to strangers who refuse to be open about their business or identity at your own risk.
Well the alternative is that the govrnment also knows who they are........
So what do you want freedom or security?
You cant have both.
live has risks accept them.
correct. it comes down to what you want and what risks you will take.
for me ill use an exchange that is open and transparent and has a large legal team making sure they are in complience. I've had bitcoins stolen in the past by using anonymous services that appeared trustworthy, only to see them dissappear overnight.
Too each their own.
