First of all, welcome on board this is the best platform if you are looking to gain knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency/blockchain technology. I would recommend you invest your time before investing your money in reading as much as valuable posts and try to learn and understand what it is all about and how it works.  Always do your own research instead of relying on others opinion. No one is sure what is going to happen down the road but I can assure you that you will see it as an adventure after 5 to 10 years from now whenever you will look back.

You can learn more about cryptocurrencies by reading more threads here in bitcointalk but I strongly suggest that you focus reading threads on bitcoin discussion, altcoin section, speculation and speculation(altcoins) section to get the gist of what cryptocurrencies are and how it works.
