The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Just, with my i7 2600 Processor and no GPU. sorry to say it's a bit of a waste of time with that, you'll spend vastly more on electric than you'll earn on coins. to mine Bitcoin direct you need asic hardware, vastly expensive, and a minefield to buy correctly

Use cgminer instead...
can you please sustain your self from giving stupid and pointless advice's to people. cgminer never support's cpu mining! to OP there is no point mining btc with cpu! you can try to mine some cpu coin instead an change it for btc later on. if you wan't to try then use cpuminer!

I think he meant cgminer because its far better to mine from the GPU on his machine...
EDIT... except the dude has no GPU. He's does, though, have a slot for one.

OP, if you only have a CPU available, you should try to mine some CPU-only coins such as Primecoin.
