Media always trying to make negative news about cryptos. Maybe they are getting paid by crypto haters to discourage others. Or maybe just looking for attention as positive news will not get that much attnetion compared to articles like these.

it is because this technique has been effective so they keep on using it. some of them are only doing it to advertise their own website (get more traffic and earn money) some others are doing it to manipulate the price and make profit from the created chaos.

if people start paying less attention to nonsense FUD about bitcoin on the media and start using their heads and also as the market grows that the newbies who pay attention no longer matter, then we stop seeing this kind of ridiculous movements.

...undermine cryptocurrencies and convince the world that it's "not worth it" - maybe, in fact this is the time to get in, before the bitcoin skyrockets?
Any thoughts..?

For reference, here's the article I can across today: http://money.cnn.com/2018/06/18/technology/bitcoin-cryptocurrencies-internet-bis/index.html
The media has played a critical role in trying to destabilize the mines of people towards cryptocurrency. Hard as they try though, the world is actually being informed better about the usefulness of the new money.

The more they publish negative reports, the more opportunity for us to explain the goodness of the cryptocurrency in the new era. Let no one loose sleep over media criticisms.

What banks want to do using these kind of articles is discourage people to use bitcoin as it is a kind of risk for them. If people move to digital currencies such as bitcoin, there is no need of banks. Therefore they are trying to protect their banking business by misleading people. My opinion is we should not even read articles and reports about bitcoin issued by banks.

Media choose always strong side, i am very familiar with it. But when the time comes for cryptocurrency, we will see media side.

Media choose the ones who pays for advertisement, in my county there is so many commercials on TV about banks and loans they give, many banks pays for that a lot.
I believe in changes, when time of crypto comes we will see different commerciala on TV. But there isn't interest for that now, crypto is targeting internet and people who use internet. Advertising on social networks, YouTube, many forums is current reach of crypto advertising, but in future that will spread on other types of media.
That will not do some of us, when huge companies adopt crypto in their television advertisement we will see how they accept crypto, they will pay for that and that's how it will start, later more crypto services will follow that.

There really are certain agencies (not just media) that are not happy with how bitcoin and cryptocurrency has grown. We can never force them to be, but at least I, I don't want to listen to them. Cryptocurrency is more than what they think. They are just closed-minded.

Medias are controlled by influencial people. Those influencial people owned banks and big businesses. So it is normal to hear that medias are keep spreading bad news against bitcoin to cover up those influencial bosses.

I think it affects the beliefs of bitcoin holders, so there is a lot of fear that is present among investors until bitcoin prices drop because of panic sales. People will start investing in bitcoin again when prices start to rise. I have seen countless TV news, making fud even my local newspaper trying to create fud, but I think normal people will eventually find out about blockchain technology and profitability.

Maybe it isn't media, don't you think it might be whales or other major players trying to cause more fluctuations to gain more from them?

Communication is the decisive factor in everything that can make a big difference. Social media is today the source of all the news related to every aspect of life and people. Want to create negative marketing will take advantage of it (almost everyone in the world can access the network).

Crypto enthusiasts can use the media to our own advantage, imagine when the media talks positive about the world of crypto you notice how flourishing the market looks. A time is coming when the media will not be able to scare people away from the world of crypto.

Well said. I think media is negative towards bitcoin out of fear of change, or the fear of it being used for illegal activity. Bitcoin is the world’s first digital currency, and that’s a massive evolution that transcends the economy. Not everyone is adaptable to change, unfortunately. We need faith in the currency for it to prevail.

I would be very sad to see if governments and banks would win. Crypto is the answer to many people's hopes but it can be ruined with media spreading fud and strict regulations. Another problem is hackers. God knows how many millions were stolen from users.

It is normal for people to be afraid of change, of something new, of what they dont know. Crypto is unfamiliar ro most of us. It had emerged to the general public not so long ago. Not so many people fully understands how crypto works. The media has depicted the fear if most people or maybe they are just paid to write bad things about crypto in order to increase fear and pull down something thet cannot control.

We get our news from the media. That’s what they do, report the news. It’s up to you to fact check some news item that is too good to be true. Social media is no better.

It is not necessary to care too much about these media articles. Most media editors do not really understand the encrypted world. Their articles usually exaggerate the facts and take the attention of everyone. This is their work.

The banks are uniting against bitcoin when in fact it's good business for them since most withdrawals go through them. ALso, once converted to fiat, we also store our money in their banks, giving them more funds for their investments and whatnot.

I can Google for 100 articles written by flat Earthers that say NASA is a scam. Doesn't make it true.
Indeed it doesn't.  I'd say the more you listen to the media, the more your IQ embarks upon a slow decline.  Media often get facts wrong, and I think the days of conscientious journalism are long gone.  Every media outlet has an agenda, and it is all biased.  Banks advertise, and you can bet your bottom dollar that the media doesn't want to rankle their interests and therefore articles/reports that blast bitcoin are in their best interest.

I watch movies.  That is the extent of my involvement with media.  Being blissfully ignorant I've found is not a negative in this day and age.  I can live my life how I want it, and I don't have to get frustrated by retarded news stories.
