There is no specific or right time of investment. Encouraging people is not really helpful without any basis. I think you better find factual news and be it a good news or development which will possibly make the market price higher or grow.
I also think that using both alts and bitcoins is just better than putting an investment to only one.

Bitcoin is an old and tired lady, there is a time in which the market starts considering that it should no longer be the leader and when that happens I don´t want to be there.

Move your altcoins to BTC then move BTC to USD (in case there is no ALT/USD pairing). I think that is the better strategy when bitcoin is crashing. When the market starts to recover, you can enter BTC market again then buy Alts of your own choice while they're at bottom.

I think that for people who have all the money in altcoins and who are sitting at a loss this is bad advice .. It is better to wait, it is not clear when the bull market starts and what will start growing first. And if you start to rush from side to side, you can do many unnecessary mistakes.

perhaps you are right, now is a good time to buy Bitcoin, but you should not invest all your capital in one coin, even the largest one. As you have noticed, Bitcoin's growth accompanies growth of almost all other coins

The market is green now as I am posting this reply and I am hoping that this time Bitcoin can be able to clobbered the psychological barrier level of $7000 though I doubt if this can happen within this month as the trend is definitely doing the dizzying see-saw. The news is that there is institutional money that came in which push back the value of Bitcoin somewhere in the $6,600 - $6,700 level and whether that news is just made up or not still thanks for it since it resulted into a minor spike. The question I have in my mind is: Can Bitcoin be able to reach back the $10K level before the year 2018 ends?
