What interests me most is when there will be a distribution of tokens?  Now is not the best time to listing tokens on the exchange, but to see in my wallet is better than emptiness.

Hey there HenryRoo, that is a very understandable wish. There's no specific time for distribution at the moment, however, we will let the community know as soon as the Codex team shares an update, so stay tuned!

Question:
Is there direct communication ability between artist and art buyer?

Answer:
"Codex is the registry which tracks the identity of the item over time. This information is incredibly important for lots of different use-cases. One use-case is an application that facilitates communication between artists and buyers (either for art, wine, cars, or other unique assets). Let's call this a Marketplace use-case.
Codex does not itself provide direct communication between artist/creator and buyer but one could build an application on top of codex that facilitates that!"

ICYMI:

Codex and Tagsmart Announce a New Partnership for Trusted Art

Here's an excerpt from the article:

Quote
"Tagsmart Connect enables artists, galleries, estates and auction houses to submit trusted artwork data directly to online retailers. By adding Codex, within the same service and with a single click, they will also be able to submit that information directly to the Codex blockchain, a global immutable registry for valuable collectibles."

The token sale has ended already and there's an airdrop for whitelist participants who passed the KYC, provided a refund wallet and/or purchased CODX tokens. Those who purchased the tokens will get a refund + 2000 CODX + 500 CODX. Other who didn't purchase the tokens but passed the KYC and provided a refund wallet will get 500 CODX.

The Codex team have collected $12 million from the token sale which is sufficient to develop the protocol.

Arts and collectables are a completely different category which it is a very good sign to implement them in the blockchain. After crowdsale whether they have done their audit because the distribution of tokens is not yet started.
