I have actually sold one Bitcoin in December, so that now I have something to eat for this entire year. But if I knew for sure what would happen, I'd have sold them all and rebuy them now. Usual thinking in hindsight.
However it is an interesting thread to monitor people's reaction to these swings of the market.
December is also the moment I have discovered this forum.

Well as for me, that was the time i had faith in bitcoin becuse i never believed crypto. Although I wanted to get then but the price is so so high than what i can risk to buy. Although I expect same rise before the end of the year again so i got alittle when the price went down as low as $6000 hoping i would have profit before the end of the year.

Seriously I feel for those who bought Bitcoin during the bull run last night. The market is really in a bad shape and it will take a whole lot for the market to reach the height it did last year but that's not to say it's unattainable.

I absolutely did not! I had this thinking that the sudden price hike was brought about by, most probably, the holiday season which is why people started to buy starting September or October until December. The price was too high for any common trader to invest in. So I had my doubts. Which is why I did not even consider buying during that time. And I was right! BTC price started to gradually fall starting about last week of December onwards. At this point, BTC for me is a mode of exchange for other currencies and not something I would invest into.

There are many people who at the moment are very losing to Bitcoine due to the decrease in its value. I, for example, bought Bitcoin in February this year when its price was also much higher than at the moment. It may be worrying that there is little chance that Bitcoin will ever reach the level from the end of the previous year. Then its popularity and demand for it was the largest in history, but now, due to declines in the value of many people, they withdrew from investments in Bitcoin, which strongly affected its price.
In my part I did not buy bitcoin last year, but I will in this year 208 , I will stock my bitcoin in the next coming months to have a better profit in the end of the year.

No I did not even sell some of my bitcoin that month but people in my country bought bitcoin in December 2017 and they've lost their money because when prices drop quickly they've become panic sellers and indeed those who buy bitcoin for a high price just hoping bitcoin go up but in fact price correction happened month of the month. Thanks

Yes,  i did but need to sell it that time.  Thankful that i made the right choice or decision.  That time i thought that btc will continue to rise and reach at $50000 - $100000 . I made the wrong prediction but made the right decision.

At that time the price of Bitcoin is very good and expensive to sell and if you buy that time, you will feel the loss until now because Bitcoin price is very down at the present time.

It is an undisputed fact that those are affected much by this sudden drop in bitcoin price are those who bought it in December last year when bitcoin was skyrocketing. I understand the emotional trauma you are going through. Nobody will be happy watching his investment losing value like that. I want to encourage you that the downfall of a man is not the end. In June 2017, nobody ever thought of bitcoin hitting $20k by December 2017 and that is the beauty of bitcoin. It takes only minutes for bitcoin price to either rise or fall. Never dump your coin out of fear. Let's keep our fingers  crossed and hope for the best. If you understand that Bitcoin is a long term investment, you wouldn't panic when the price falls within some short period of time. We will all laugh soon
It is a good thing for me that I am still into that process of starting up my Bitcoin journey by that time so I still do not have that much fund to support buying or purchasing Bitcoin by that time and added by the fact that on December 2017, the price was too expensive to be affordable and it was considered to be a real risky due to the reason that we all know Bitcoin's capability and capacity to experience sudden dump or pump so I put into my mind the fear of buying at high and when the price dump, I will suffer so I waited for the time that the price goes down just to have that opportunity to buy more and sell high.

yea I did and now I lost All of my money by hackers. What a terrible mistake I did to hold my coins. I was new but I heard fake people's fake talk, I thought bitcoin will hit 30K USD Within February and then history happened. But I was strong and I was keeping hold my assets on myetherwallet. But the sad incident happened a several days ago, Hackers hacked my all assets. Now I am almost empty. But I am trying to come back strong.

No, thank God no. However, I have an acquaintance who bought bitcoin at a time when its value was 19.5 thousand dollars. I bought a little earlier, but for a very modest amount ... but still I'm pleased that I did not do it at such a high price as my friend.

A new financial system comes to mind. Or rather, I would say the collapse of the old. Since if the crypto currencies are really becoming so popular that they will be used around the world, then it would be just wonderful. The main thing is that this or these crypto-currencies should be decentralized. Then the financial system of the world will become much more fair than now. Well, at least that's my opinion.

Don't lose hope and just keep holding your bitcoin or do other things that will make your attention go away from bitcoin because that is normal to make mistakes from everything especially in buying coin because we don't know what is the possible price movement of the coin that we bought in the future but as long as we are buying the good coin then there is nothing to worry about.

I guess they already learned their lesson. Can’t blame them. Who doesn’t want to get rich quick? Next time, do invest only what you can afford to lose.

I know quite a few people who did against advice but can we really blame them? Everyone wants to earn income from any means possible. As some of the posters said, you don't lose until you decide to sell at a loss. For those who late at ath, I can only say keep hodling.

I did not buy bitcoin in December 2017 but sold it at that time. The price has risen very high at that time and it certainly gives me an advantage investing there. If I had not sold it then surely I would not have benefited at that time. And now I buy bitcoin a little bit. And invest in bitcoin. Surely people who buy bitcoin in December of 2017 are now waiting too long for their investment. Hopefully the bitcoin rises again.
I believe I am one of those who got huge profit from the price before 2017 ended. I did not buy bitcoin for that time but I had an amount that being kept on my wallet and ready to sell. That was earned from signature campaign and earned form airdrops. That time airdrop was not yet scams and gave good profit which being sold to have bitcoin.
