Cool! GEO is not related to CENT though, GEO is scrypt and was forked from SMC and then had tx messaging (FLO) added to it.

Cool site!  One thing I noticed though is megacoin is under ltc.  Is it because it uses scrypt?  It actually doesn't use any litecoin code and Kimoto converted a newer beta version of bitcoin to scrypt himself before creating gravity well.

Very nice chart!

The Dogecoin DOGE was a clone of the Luckycoin LKY to set some history right.

This is neat! Good job, but I do see some discrepancies on some family trees that some would argue with you on.

Wow, that is one of the coolest and most informative cryptocurrency...."things"... I've ever seen !

Really fantastic. I never knew half of those coins existed.

Try clicking on the dateline month by month and watching them all appear. Amazing. How is this all going to develop ?

This is really useful, great job.

Looking forward to the XRP, NXT, MSC types on board.

Would also be good to be able to type in a coin and it gets highlighted so you dont have to go looking for it.

Very cool, but lots of wrong information about coins on there.

You should probably proof read over the top 10 major coins to fix any wrong info.

  • some mistakes fixed;
  • new possibility to download pictures for every month and year you like most ^_^
  • specially created GitHub for you to be able to correct things that is not right and add new coins: https://github.com/Ada-Alternative/Mapofcoins

It's very good and useful detail on each coin when those are clicked.. though perhaps some users will miss that detail is avaliable.

I wonder you could also throw the same data into a d3:cluster dendrogram http://bl.ocks.org/mbostock/4063570 as an alternate way for the user to choose to display this detail.

We have thought about it. And it was something like this at first warning! may cause brain damage

I understand, that mapofcoins is not perfect and as informative as it could be. But we try to do our best. There is a plan to implement filters and search option to help it to become better.
