Looks interesting  Wink

Was hoping for more POW launches, so many ico's about and most never deliver

Just today these guys started play games for ETH!! They're dropping daily REP codes in their TG channel https://t.me/lootrewards which you can level up and trade for ETH... bloody good to be able to do this with the current crypto market imo

This does seem interesting, to earn money quickly by playing - is it possible to check out some type of demo/tutorial for it? How can I find out a bit more?

I've been telling all my friends about Loot. Each and every one of them agree the dynamic is desperately needed.

Is there any way to prevent 'bots' from farming Loot and devaluing it?

I've seen this happen a lot with in game currencies. If the currency is worth any real money at all, meaning if people are willing to buy currency rather than work for it, there will be bots. Even the biggest companies in the world can't stop all bots.

There is already a lot of incentive to cheat in games, including financial incentive.  Players farm gold, skins and other items and sell them on 3rd party sites.  Introducing our crypto solution doesn't change that, make it worse, or better.  It is impossible to stop 100% of this type of behavior from players, but solutions like Valve Anti Cheat, Battle Eye an other have done a good job of mitigating the worst of it.  Our own home grown solution is something we've been building for years (we are not a new business) and has also been proven to stop the worst of it.  Here is a video demo: https://vimeo.com/132487908

Do the game makers decide which tasks reward Loot?

Yes, Loot works with simple tasks or activities.  So in a super casual mobile game, there may be only one or two actions that Loot can be tied to, but in more complex desktop or console games, there could be dozens or hundreds.

How will you keep track of how much Loot everyone has? A centralized database?

Of course not, Loot amounts will be kept track of on the chain. Smiley

Do you need to purchase anything at all with real money before using Loot?

A device that runs video games, like an Xbox, PC or Smartphone.  Possibly the game that has Loot integrated as well if that costs money too.

What would you say is the biggest advantage of using blockchain for this?

Its transaction based economic system of rewards - any transaction based system benefits from blockchain or public ledgers.  The most important reason though is block chain has proven itself as a "substrate" for value creation.  Bitcoins for example come from "nowhere", but people value them.  This is partly because of the utility they provide, but its also because of the cost function of mining.

So say Loot becomes valuable. Can you 'print' more at your own discretion to make value out of nothing and thus devaluing current Loot holders?

Signal Zero is the name of the company, but the video that shows all of the loss mitigation and data capabilities is typically referred to as "The Signal Zero Platform" and yes, its been an ongoing project for us since 2014.  Thanks a lot by the way.
