I was mining this at mint.hashrapid but I logged into the portal today and saw this...

"*Welcome to our official MintCoin Pool. Pool is shutting down in 2 days. please cash out."

Is there something fishy about this coin or this pool?

I would say it's more like they are shutting down because very soon Mint will go down to 1 Mint per block reward and enter the POS phase - so some pools are probably looking to shut down before that happens.

Why is the website constantly down? Not cool.

I agree it is totally unacceptable.

Been afk for the majority of the past week, but can finally get back on top of things now.

Just got in contact with the guy hosting mintcoin.cc and he told me.

"We have been working non stop on the issue with the serverhub team. I don't have access to my own website but as soon as I can gain access to mintcoin.cc I will send you a backup so we can install it elsewhere. I'll keep you updated."

how can different pools show such different numbers? One says I should get 500 000 coins per day and another says 50 000 coins per day. What is wrong?

If someone wants to sell his mintcoins just contact me.
I will buy!!!
also will buy mintcoin, pm me . am paying at higher rates than any exchanges for large quantities
Why don't you just buy on the exchanges? What is considered a "large" quantity?

Why don't you just buy on the exchanges?

don't want to spook people too soon on the exchanges

I red there are people here who are complaining  about Mintcoin and i offered to buy their coins so that they can leave this thread  without any loose.

heh yeah, they will wish they were holding soon

Sounds tempting, but I have never done an escrow service and it still seems risky to me. Is there a mintcoin escrow service? If I were to do something like this I would want the mintcoins to be protected. Also, I think the price could suddenly spike soon anyway, as I am a solid believer in this coin long-term.  I have most of my coins set aside for PoS minting, so I don't want to lose coin age, so the price would have to be quite a lot higher for me to part with my coins. Mintcoins are getting super rare now, I think up to 200 sats is entirely possible soon. How high are you willing to pay?
3 sats above last trade for large amounts.
all the best.

p.s i would advise to at least hold some for the near future
3 sats is not high enough imo. Price is probably being artificially held low right now, so people such as yourself who are looking to sweep up large amounts for cheap can.

It is in these moments of quiet that wild buy orders tend to swing in and buy up the cheapies - be ready for an upwards push.
