What are the advantages of using the check-summed version of your Ethereum address if any? Or what are the uses for that.

Every Ethereum address has two versions to it; the checksummed version and the non-checksummed version. The practical difference between these two is that the checksummed version includes capital letters while the non-checksummed version does not. The added value of this is that the checksummed address is more accurate than the non-checksummed version. There are no other large differences between these two and for most transactions both versions can be used.
