How do you research altcoins to invest in? I'm talking about legit/long term investing in projects that have real potential to become something that creates value.
How do you find the coins you're looking for?
What are your go to tools?

GTIHUB, this is an excellent website. Most blockchain projects implement open source code, so you can judge the project by analyzing the open source code.

How do you find your way to altcoins in a variety of ways to get the altcoins? However, investing in coin is important. You should find them through the founders to buy the altcoin.

Same way as approaching investing in company equity - find a problem, then look for companies that are addressing that problem. The more knowledge you have about a space, the better decisions you can make. Plus with Telegram and the general openness of the community, it's never been easier to get in touch directly with founders to ask them about their company fundamentals.
There are lots of problems that don't need to be solved in a 100% decentralized way, or that need a proprietary token. If a project has passable reasons for using both and a reasonable roadmap, it probably has strong long term potential.
I think there is too much emphasis on 'hype' in the crypto world today. Investing in hype means everyone will be trying to sell at the same time, probably right after the coin hits an exchange, which diminishes your returns. Invest in technology and people.

There are a number of instruments available for researching/ measuring the good altcoins to take them into consideration. However, further data collection is required to determine exactly how long-term/legit affects your decision. I often visit this site: https://newcpucoins.com/ and this Telegram channel: https://t.me/New_Cryptocurrency_Telegram to view new coins After choosing a coin which meets some of my criteria, I will go to next steps to evaluate it by myself

You do alot of reading starting from the announcement page through the whitepaper and you check all references out as well as those that are affiliated with the project and look for red flags. And if you find any you ask about them and if they ignore or attack your questioning then you know right off the bat it's a scam.

Most of the time im hinting the signature of different people. Or sometimes just hit the service section and see which are the new campaigns coming on the way. This gives me IDEA that what companies are there which just launched themselves in the market. Then I will go and visit their ANN which is best source for the information and you learn about its buzz too. Thats first point of contact. Later on is simple, I will just keep hunting the bounties to see if there is any new project that enlightens uniqueness. Thats best source to find new alts.

find out more about the origin of the founders, and know the future goals of the project to be lived. if the project has good potential and looks promising if used as an investment and has clarity about the type of coins to be launched, then no doubt altcoin to be launched has a good potential for the future

Many Alt-coins has been operating towards bounty campaign to invite more investors to come in through the website and other means of social media to know about the project more during ICO, before going to public

First of all need to read the white paper and evaluate its strengths. Join social medias and telegram channel to get more information. We can use groups and forums to get expert ideas. Then you can take the decision.

I don't have certain criteria. I always study the description of the project, feedback from those who have already participated in it. Then I act only intuitively. I used to make more mistakes than I do now, but I don't know the exact reasons. Probably every investor gradually gains experience and then feels the signals on a subconscious level.

Starting with reading is a good way. The white paper becomes the first reference to check the project, so as to know the purpose and benefits of a project. Being able to solve the problem with new ideas and can be applied to the basis of determining a good project. Team experience becomes important to drive project growth. So, how to find a good project of course we have to check it in detail, so the risk of investment will be reduced.

I am not very good in technical details, but first trying to understand if they are ok. Read whitepaper, looking through roadmap, join social media and try to research more about team. Then i compare it to similar existing projects, looking for differences which can make it unique and popular.

There is great way to work upon this. You always go for the coins which have unique ideas. Obviously the coins which are just work of copy paste from other ideas are generic one and they will never work properly or may betray their investors in the time to come. Its always better to ignore such coins and thus what you get leftover is the crypto coins which are worth investing into. I am always looking out bounty section and ANN section of particular coins to know more about them. Will always check how they are being recognised in the community. I will invest in those where the crowd is moving. Because in crypto the more the supporters the more success to the crypto coins.

It is easy, a promising coin should be different from others, it should have such properties no other coin has, and ideally it should be created by some known outstanding developer.

Altcoin research is not a easy job because current situation is really unpredictable so better we should analyse the chart, white paper and road map of the project we will get the good projects in quick time. But we don't ask for the some other suggestions then only we will pick the right platform.
