To find out the legit coins for long-term investment, first I will go to the coinmarket exchange. Then, I will also analyze the worthy coins from much information in this forum as shared by the members. Then, just make a serious analysis and considerations to pick the coins with the ready products.

I try to seek information related to certain coin in internet because there are many information about altcoins there. As long as we want to read and learn, of course there are ways of it. Watching the graphs on market cap is also good to know the rank and improvement the coins. And sometimes I ask to my friends who are better than me in crypto currency. I use very simple ways of research altcoins.

How do you research altcoins to invest in? I'm talking about legit/long term investing in projects that have real potential to become something that creates value.

How do you find the coins you're looking for?

What are your go to tools?
Well honestly it is very easy to search about these altcoins. You just have to visit the website and read up the white paper. Coins like PRG, EOS and ICX are excellent in terms of profitability.

I do actually research for the ICOs that I want to participate in. By looking and reading their platform on the whitepaper you can see there how do their ICO runs and what should they do in some actions especially on token sale which is very important for their project to run. And i also looking to those bounty managers if they also handled bounties from the past that goes successful.

Not that hard I would say. Keep posting here and also see the white paper of these coins like TAU, POWR and EOS. They are great coins and shall never disappoint you.

Yes I do. I make research before making decision to buy and hold, I look for its rank on coinmarketcap, its volume, circulating supply and total supply. I also research about its team, community to make sure it is a healthy coin and worth to invest.

Everyone has a different perspective, and also when evaluating a project.
Then the way I find the best coin is to read all the articles and news that are, and then research it.
I get a lot of information from bitcointalk and also blog media like medium.

Read community member posts, and ask questions about the project and current developments. Review the source code on github and etc.

1) Reading the opinion of other members can be very useful. Some of the members do share the essence of their research related to a particular coin.

2) Asking specific questions will also help clear doubt.

Regarding your last suggestion for github, does it also involves technical knowledge like coding and all ?

This is a good way to research altcoins, I would add telegram channels and Twitter to it. I believe that an integrated approach will help to make the right choice.

Interests and communities of coins are an important value to maintain the stability of the price of the coins. I choose coins based on the number of enthusiasts and the trading volume of the coins I choose.

I am not searching for altcoins now because I have enough of them to work in the comfortable way and I don't need in some more of these ones.
