The only way buying a miner now makes sense if if you can speculate a future bitcoin price of upwards $4k.  If you think btc is going to reach $4k, do it.  But then again, if you just buy the bitcoin, you'll make money just the same.

yoda wasn't clear. meant hope he didn't buy bitcoin when we said, but sometime now or soon. mining is out of the question, unless you get some mad deal
