A convicted fraud named Ronald Keala Kua Maria calls himself as Satoshi Nakamoto and had applied for the trademark of the bitcoin cash. But there is so much confusion about it.

If hes really satoshi nakamoto, theres no need to wait for conviction regarding fraud before claiming to be the man, since this name has been on the whole forum for how many years, this has been in deep search since all of us wanna know for whom we will dedicate the thankful feelings from the beneficiaries of hes legacy

This claimant is a noob and only wanted to gain what satoshi supposed to have.get lost dude no ones buying your story

People would not claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto, if they knew what shitstorm is waiting for them. When the real Satoshi Nakamoto are identified, it would be one of the biggest media circus that we would see, next to the Lady Di death in Paris.

Every law enforcement agency in the world are hunting for him and would be on his doorstep to arrest him or her for some trumped up charges. They <criminals and authorities> will also try to get their hands on the 1 000 000+ bitcoins that Satoshi owns.

No thanks, I do not want to be Satoshi Nakamoto.  Roll Eyes

Oh shit, if the real Satoshi Nakamoto tries to claim Bitcoin Cash, then it follows that it must be the true Bitcoin, right? Roger Ver was right all along. I am ashamed I ever doubted him Sad /s

LOL!! Funny how this man named Ronald Keala Kua Maria is claiming he is Satoshi Nakamoto. I am not sure how this is going to affect bitcoin. How this is going to affect his life and his family?

It's not going to affect Bitcoin because no one will take it seriously. No one will believe any claim without solid evidence, considering what's at stake. His life will be altered somewhat because no one will take him seriously anymore. I'm not sure how it will affect his family, but I'm guessing some of them feel a little shame for him lol.

If Bitcoin will grow, one day he can earn some profit, but most possible it is just wasted money. From crypto it is very hard to imagine the brand name, which can earn some money on T shirts etc.  Wink

Even a fake Satoshi can profit from that. He can claim to be an "alt"  Grin

Kua Maria also claims ownership of many domains of BCH related websites, such as thesatoshinakamoto.com, bitcoincopyrights.com, bitcoincashcopyright.com, bchcopyright.com, and others.

On these websites, however, visitors are redirected to the URL of the Kua Maria website, rkm.world, which offers “free basic plans”.
How about your opinion of Ronald Keala Kua Maria.

My opinion ? Opportunistic conman lacking knowledge comes to mind.

yawn .. old news then

Trademark Bitcoin cash applied for May 18, 2018 so new news.

The 2 year old copyright registration is less relevant. Copyright is lodged and not inspected. Trademarks are examined and if granted are hard to challenge.

I think trusting it won't be wise. I would like to learn more from exerts about it. Myself is really confused about it but I think he is lieing and this is a fraud.

Of course he is a fraud.
So far everyone who has claimed to be Satoshi is a fraud.
Satoshi doesn't want to be found.
He is too smart and has nothing to gain and everything to lose.
If you read Satoshis posts and letters he values privacy over money.
Why would he go through all the OpSec to reveal himself ?
Why would he be altruistic and then suddenly want to be greedy ?

So what is the benefit of it in their part? They can't control the market even they proclaim they are the one who created this art,
I believe what is the reason why they decided to publish that they are the one behind Satoshi? or they are trying to fish the real persons/s behind it?

Wants to charge 2% royalties for transactions over $800
He is asking for "voluntary" royalties.
Because I suspect that as soon as he demands money they can potentially charge him with fraud.

The creative commons would override his copyright registration if he tried to enforce it.

Trademarking Bitcoin Cash would effectively not affect Bitcoin but would affect Bitcoin Cash or Bcash as some people prefer to call it.

Ronald also lays claims on:

text, computer program, artwork

The real Satoshi would know that someone else designed the artwork and that the code was a collaborative effort with other developers.

Ronald claims:

Quote
I did not publish any part of my TXu002037698 work prior to 08/17/2016.

On or about 09/20/2005 my home (address below) was raided by Federal and State authorities joint task force and my computers, laptops, files, inventions, copyrights, etc. were seized.

The real Satoshi did publish it all before 2016  and a raid in 2005 wouldn't affect his ability to prove it.

In October 2008, Satoshi published a paper on the cryptography mailing list at metzdowd.com describing the bitcoin digital currency.

Satoshi released the Version 0.1 of bitcoin software on Sourceforge on 9 January 2009. Even prior to the release there were others involved in the development of the code. After the release the code was also maintained by others based on it being open source.

If it were a credible claim (which it is not) then Ronald defrauded everyone who worked on it for free.

In my opinion his claims are so blatantly false and so unlike Satoshi. He is denigrating and maligning the character of Satoshi.

Qualities that I believe describes the real Satoshi would be: Calm, honest, humble, intelligent, dedicated, private and altruistic.

Also Satoshi registered his birthdate as: April 5, 1975

LOL @ intactico@gmail.com as I doubt Satoshi would ever use gmail.

Not sure whether this should be in the "alts" section. Since the trademark is for "Bitcoin cash".  Grin

Convicted fraudster Ronald Keala Kua Maria applied for the trademark of Bitcoin Cash, and calls himself Satoshi Nakamoto

Wants to charge 2% royalties for transactions over $800

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMahwybUUd4

http://satoshinakamoto.ws/

Fascinating that "Satoshi" doesn't know the difference between "bitcoin" and "bitcoin cash".

Knowing a bit about copyright and trademark law - the obvious flaws are quite amusing.

Now that the IRS know who the real Satoshi is.....

Another crazy fool thats has been wanted publicity?

If satoshi wanted his/her personality to be revealed then the very moment that he created blockchain,i see no reason why needed to hide for this long and will claimed after 10 years,no logic at all.this is a sure craziness that dont deserved attention

It is becoming like the story of "Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia". Dont these guys have anything else to do apart from impersonating Satoshi Nakamoto.?
Also Trademark war and domain wars are getting serious these days.

Only Satoshi has access. They want just a better paypal, where the fee still goes to a centralized figure. Kua Maria also claims ownership of many domain names associated with the BCH. How about your Ronald Keala Kua Maria?

"Bitcoin Unlimited" and "Bitcoin ABC" as their trademarks? Mike Hearn and Gavin Andresen in the "extended debate"? Another person claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto.
