I suggest you buy a hardware wallet because the security of the hardware wallet is very high.
Then you can resist most hacking attacks.
Cheers! Grin

my suggestion is the same, if you using mew you had better get hardware wallet like ledger nano s .or use metamask for the safe. but only i recommend hardware wallets. other thing is dont save your private address or passwords in email, internet or any kind of cloud storage. because it can be hacked. then your details will be leaked.

There are many guides on the forum already regarding the best wallets and how to securely store your coins - I suggest using the search function.

Also have a read of this stickied post in the Beginners & Help forum: [General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?

You can try to use only paper wallet but make sure you need to check your url before you are trying to pen your privakey through mew or any other similar site. But hardware wallet will become the best wallet.
you should not to publish anything that give a clue about your wallet and i have no problem until this time.

Keep your private key to yourself alone, avoid using public computers to access your account, bookmark MEW and ensure your internet device is secured.

There is no need for an expert advise or words
Only you is capable of compromising your account
Nobody hacks your wallet except you give them the right

You give them right by
1. Clicking links from your email asking you to claim your airdrops or phishing links telling u won eth
2. Taking risk of logging in your information on your friends phone
3. Filling fake airdrops forms
4. Out of greed, clicking cheap purchase links especially forkdelta links

Just be calm and do the right things
Then your wallet will always be safe

Wwll the only thing you need to do is to protect your private key and .dat file very well. I suggest if you're using MEW like the most then print your private key and don't store it to your computer with internet connection to about potential hackers. Or better link your MEW to metamask to have more security.
If you have budget then i suggest that you buy hardware wallet to have more secure wallet

Youtube and Google can give you a much detailed information and step by step tutorials on how you can secure your coins, this is the first that newbies should do before they start acquiring or investing in token because there is no third party involvement and you are on your own when it comes to security.

Everything depends on where and as you store the coins. I have got used to store the on native purses which are at me on the computer or at the exchanges (but it is not really safe option). Regarding purses, more than a year I use them and there were no problems in their use. From them I store keys on USB.

If you wanted to store many bitcoins, choose a hardware wallet and if you wanted to store bitcoins just for transactions or receiving 0-1 bitcoins, I recommend you to choose the best software wallet like Electrum.

If it possible use different computer for wallets only. It's depends on how many coins you have I guess. I have like 5-6 different coins. All of them has separate wallet and used on laptop, where I don't browse web.

Because most people don't have the expertise, buying a hardware wallet is the best option most of the time.
