Once beaten is twice shy.The keeping and protecting of ones private key and any other sorts of secretive codes is very confidential;so as for the wolfs out there unable to hack and pack your properties.Keep your private key to yourself alone, avoid using public computers to access your account, bookmark MEW and ensure your internet device is secured. And to crown it all I would advise using metamask to keep the properties.

I've never had any problems with hackers by the fact that two years ago I bought myself a hardware wallet. Since then, I do not think about security issues. It is very convenient and protects me from any threats.

These incidents usually happen due to our less knowledge and carelessness. Like someone suggested you above to have a hardware wallet for safety but if you don't want to use hardware wallets, you can still be safe if you avoid common mistakes.
Never share your private key, also don't click links in the email that ask you to put private key, those are fake links

Wallets are made this way that they are very hard to be hacked. So hackers find another ways to steal your data to get access to your assets, and they enter the wallet with the private key you provide them yourself, they don't hack it. So be attentive with your hardware, and it is better to store everything on cold dtorage which you have never used on your computer

be safe to comply with the following

You should not use the same password twice.
Using the software "keepass" prevents passwords from being forgotten and you can have different passwords on each site through keepass.
Keep your big amounts in cold storage.
Check the address line as you enter your wallet on the website.

Go offline. Use hardware wallets.

Bookmark everything once you are in the real website.

Do not save anything in online mails. Specially your passwords and private keys, do not send messages also that have something to do with your accounts.

Use the lock button on the upper left screen of your browser for security.

Use incognito if you do not want anything to be saved in your browser.

Simple ways but yet working.

The best way is hardware wallet. You can manage your assets without entering private keys on sites and apps. If you have more than $ 1k in crypto, I'd recommend you to buy it.

Nowadays people complain about their account being hacked
We need experts here to give us some tips on how a wallet can be secured from being hacked
Your submissions will be welcome
Cheers!
Most of this people are phished.
Theres a lot of way, and for some its irresistible. With a lot offers, to get a profit. but in the end of the its all scam.
I Have seen a twitter account that pretending to be The official twitter account of an ICO, pretending to offer much higher than the Official ICO Price.
And sad to say, some fall for it too.
I have even seen some website pretending to be MEW.
I suggest for each and everyone here, to always check the links or website they visits. And Always think about and observe and make sure before going for it.
And Also We could purchase a hardware wallet in which its much more secure.

Or you could visit MEW, theres a lot of a lesson before actually able to access the website.
A lot of tips and to do's to be secure.

First of all never use simple passwords. And hold your passwords in safety place.
Try to use your computer only yourself

Buying hard wallet is the best choice if you bought already then keep all your coins in one hardware wallet and never leave big amount of coins in an 3rd party exchange. Remember not to give your private key to everyone.

you just have to be careful about the sites that has being sent to you, dont easily log in your private key on any website. or maybe you should buy a hardware wallet because it is much safer.

I personally think that if you have to keep your own private key, avoid using a public computer to access your account,
mark MEW and make sure your internet device is safe from hackers. so you need to be more vigilant about it.

I suggest you buy a hardware wallet because the security of the hardware wallet is very high.
Then you can resist most hacking attacks.
Cheers! Grin
Using hardware wallet is the best option to avoid being hacked at the moment Smiley. Nobody can transfer your token in your wallet to anywhere if they can't access to your Wallet USB stick and accept that transaction Smiley). But it'll be really terrible if you lose your wallet usb stick. LOL. Beside I think someone will not wanna use it because of it high price Smiley

Actually, you will find it is still incredibly difficult to "hack" a MyEtherWallet. What most people have actually done is given away their private keys when they fell prey to a phishing attempt. When you log in to MEW each time it gives you a range of security measures you can access it offline and then just connect to do your final part of the tx and you can go to the top end and you a Hardware Wallet such as Ledger.

Having a very difficult to guess password with a backup stored safely is usually enough for most people.

Safe operation is very important, you must do some precautions yourself, because many times hacking attacks are caused by personal security risks. Using a hardware wallet is a good idea.

Some useful tips for you to secure your wallet from getting hacked would be to make sure that before you put your private key into any website you should make sure that you are on the right website to avoid falling for a phishing scam.
Make sure that you store your private keys and all other sensitive information offline

always use wallets from official website.
never share your private key, keep it in a safe place (out of your laptop).
always double check websites ecc...
this few steps should be enough.

Good advice. Thank you. I always save my keys and passwords on some piece of paper. Never saving it on my computer.

If you're planning long-term investment, having a hardware wallet is a must(TREZOR, Ledger Nano S, etc.) it may cost you but at least your safety is assured

Bitcoin is stored in an account called the Bitcoin Wallet (Bitcoin Wallet). Any company Bitcoin wallet can be used to store bitcoins and you can download them for free on the Google Play Store or Apple Store. There are hundreds of companies in the world that make Bitcoin wallet up to now, but for the sake of account security I suggest to find the application that has the highest number of downloads and highest review stars
