 where has our friend gone?
A legend, dissapearing as mysteriously as they appeared to begin with.....

im kinda curious, for i enjoyed reading their posts + they seemed to me quite mysterious....
Anyone have any info?  even a simple "i can confirm they are alive and well" from someone reputable would make me feel better
their post history seemed to me to hold ZERO clues  Sad

Most of his posted used to go over my head. I used to have hard time to understand them.

Anyway, I guess he is possessed by supernatural aliens which spelled by Lauda
for Lauda cast a spell on me using dark powers of witchcraft!
Tongue

By the way, he was/is a good asset for the forum. I hope he is physically and mentally very well.

Be happy be at peace. Looking forward to BTC at $1M

where has our friend gone?
He was not happy with login captcha and cloudflare issues... since he was using TOR and was pissed of about it.
He had mentioned it multiple times as he was unable to reply to many posts in timely fashion so I guess that annoyed him and he took off.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3001981.msg33008068#msg33008068

Pretty sure now he's using an ALT (or real account) and without TOR ... so hello Mr. Wink

Using TOR can get expensive is some scammer has been getting banned using the same IP.

We are surrounded by legends on this forum. Phenomenal successes and catastrophic failures. Then there are the scams. This forum is a digital museum.

That only applies to signing up a new account, not using an existing one.

I don’t know if it has to do with it, but he had a level of knowledge well above the average forum member. And I mean a responsible forum member, not a shitposter-spammer.

I remember the first post I read of him. It was on the bitcoin discussion board and he was replying explaining a technical issue with a post that was like 1.5-word pages long. He was a newbie back then, and I think the merit system hadn’t been implemented yet. I looked at his posting history and he had a few posts but all of them looked alike.

It is sad to say it, but maybe he had too much level for this forum.

Yeah I've been wondering about it too, just a few months ago a Very extraordinary poster who wields two pen in both hands just appeared from nowhere and made it to get 500 plus merits. From 0 to 730 which is now available to rank up to Hero Member. But suddenly, the way he mysteriously appear was the same to his mysteriously disappearing. I've been wondering why he's not getting online these past days, maybe he's busy or something but it's not enough (I guess) to not getting online even just a little bit of time. But who knows? And unexpectedly, someone here in the forum finally noticed it too.

I feel in my guts that someone from above is the owner of this account  Tongue But not a hundred percent sure.

OP, I also feel in my guts that he's still alive. There's nothing to worry about.
If he was using TOR then the Units of Evil might have got him.

Yuph, TheQuin is right. There's nothing wrong in using TOR as long as you were using an existing account. Creating account using TOR might cause for the account to have Evil Points or even may lead to proxy ban.

Lol, i  read his post History and all are informative..... ~snip
No one said it wasn't.  Tongue

There is as i have been facing issues using tor.

I'm never able to pass the CAPTCHA using TOR... so i gave up and have been using bitcointalk normally... also using TOR every time you have to re-login and that's really painful... normally I login with stay login option checked and stay logged in forever....

There are really some issues in Captchas when using TOR. If you're getting annoyed with it just use a simple browser like Google Chrome when logging in to Bitcointalk.

Also read this thread, you might get something useful and guides about this captcha issues in TOR.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2519150.0
Don't forget to check nullius's reply, it contains some links from his Thread where you might also get more information. Doesn't visited it yet.

their post history seemed to me to hold ZERO clues  Sad
If you've read his posts, you'll know he values his privacy. So obviously, you won't find any hints.

He's always had a difficult time to connect through Tor, and Cloudflare with captcha makes that worse:
For the past few days, I have been unable to even get a CAPTCHA without changing Tor circuits.
~
Does the NSA like to see Tor users rapidly rebuild circuits to the same endpoint?

Then again, he's also hinted the NSA may be able to hack him:
As for getting doxed, I dare Quickseller and his schizoid Sybil army to try.  That’s not empty bravado:  I say about that the same as I do about hacking.  The NSA could probably do it to me; Internet troll canaille can’t.
Then again, from his own statement, it's more likely the NSA did it. Which means he's in some secret black site prison now, obviously without internet.

Disclaimer:
This is entirely based on speculation.

@NSA: I didn't hack your stuff. Leave me alone!

Or he just got busy IRL, creating that many high quality posts takes a lot of time.

I really liked his Github Repo for Generating Custom Bitcoin Addresses. It was Awesome. I don't know why it is not so popular.

Check out his article here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2934774

I would love to see such article more and often.

Can you please suggest me good material in C++ for Blockchain?
I want to learn about how to fork the network & create similar Chain

You can use tor in regular browsers if it's open in the background. It's a pretty neat workaround you should try it (it's just setting a socks5 proxy to use 127.0.0.1:9050 (a tor data port)). Then you don't have to keep logging in.

I tried getting onto bitcointalk in incognito once and it took 30+ attempts... I used to like the old captcha system more.

Would you mind (if possible) giving some instruction. I am really interested to know how to do it. I am using windows 10.

Thanks in advance mate.

Yes I have used it quite often.. but reCAPTCHA still takes time.. just now it took almost 60+ clicks

Pretty simple open you TOR browser and check the Network setting SOCKS Host in my case its
SOCK Host: 127.0.0.1 Port: 9150

Tor Browser:

Now open your regular browser preferably Firefox and set the same proxy details

Regular Firefox browser:

That's all your cookies and histories data should be there.

But again this isn't a solution to captcha problem.

Why it seemed like he appeared from the blues was because of the merit system.  He was active before but then the merit system brought him to light as many people were now rewarding his posts because of how informative it was. I must say the guy is good and he was knowledgeable about everything he talked about.
