My guess is on Bitcasino.io being hacked somehow with the hacker trying to scam people by offering them free Bitcoin/Ethereum as this kind of "investment" makes no sense for Bitcasino. On the same basis, there will always be people who fall for these mass scamming emails. Usually, if somebody asks for details to send me money then I always double check the source as the chances are that probably is a scam. Pls always be careful with your crypto and keep it safe

Thank you very much for the information, in my inbox I have 7 emails with the same request, I think somehow some email addresses have been leaked to scammers. An error of this style is because some network security may fail.

Yeah, phishing has been a common deal in bitcoin scam world and most of the time it is sent via mails (there is also google SEO and google ads but those are too obvious).

This one just took it one grade above by asking money right away, which casino would want you to send money to them right away? Think about it, you are not going to the website, you are not checking a graphic, you are not even gambling on a casino for Christ sake and you just send money to an address because they sent you an email. I hope nobody fell for this because I feel like only a moron would fell for something like this, that is not even a good attempt at a scam, I have seen miles better versions of this, hell even twitter "Elon Musk sends money" type of cliche gets more money than this.

On Saturday 28th of September, our third-party software we use for sending out promotional emails, Customer.io, was compromised leading to a mass fraudulent email being sent out to predefined player groups. Within a matter of hours, our team had uncovered the situation, locked-down our account and let our players know via an onsite notification and a follow-up email.

As a tool for sending out promotional emails, Customer.io only had access to a set of email addresses and language preferences, no other personal player information such as KYC documents, passwords or any other sensitive data was available to this third-party.

As a result, we can confirm that your account on Bitcasino.io is not at risk from this incident.

Since the discovery and lock-down of the services, our teams have been working round the clock to evaluate and reinforce all security protocols, as well as thoroughly investigate the matter with any players affected. Since it was from a legit source anyone could be fooled into believing this and i was about to start a thread because i felt it was HYIP but they spammed multiple times and that aroused my suspicion, you have to inform all the users about the hack and inform everyone of the situation through your official site to avoid further damage.

I hope there is no one is trapped by this scam attempt, hope that amount sent to the scammer addresses are coming from the scammer themselves to attract people to do the same. Old trick to attract new users, to make it looks like real transaction from users who want to invest in the scam interest promotion. I have to agree that bitcasino should inform all their players no matter they are active or not in the site lately.

Edit: Just checked my email, bitcasino has sent the information related to this scam attempt. Almost missed this information since the email came to my spam folder.
