Correct, The contest difficulty increased too due to the number of participants placing close prediction to each other because most of them placed bets when the deadline is near which makes them post a prediction that is close to the Bitcoin price. Patterns doesn’t matter anymore for me sice sometimes the result of winners prediction only has a very small difference that makes this contest very hard to win.

People participate might not care about what prediction they drop since majority think about random numbers and not base on their own technical analysis. Its free contest so most provably they never think about bad or good about it since the main purpose of the participants is to have fun with their prediction and to the numbers provided by other participants.

Still with the volatility of the Bitcoin market, we need the luck to hit the nearest price on the cut-off of the event.  I believe no one can precisely predict the future, so these predictions are just intelligent guesses from the data gathered from the history of the Bitcoin market and calculate the possibility of the price in the future. Though I still think this kind of contest is about chance, but as you stated, the increase in possibility of getting nearer to the price is helped by the ability of the person to analyze both in technical and fundamental of the Bitcoin market.

I’m always lucky every time I’m gambling after a long break during weekdays.
