Altcoins can differ from Bitcoin in a range of ways. Some have a different economic model or a different coin-distribution method, like altcoins that were given away to all citizens of a country. Others employ different proof-of-work mining algorithms, perhaps to resist specialized mining hardware — or maybe they don’t even rely on proof of work at all. Several altcoins offer a more versatile programming language to build applications on top of, while yet others offer more privacy compared to Bitcoin. And there are also altcoins that serve very specific, non-monetary use cases, like domain name registry or data storage pointers.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I did not find any possibility of that. Altcoin need more time and have to be more reliable. Yes, there is a possibility to rise up 10-20% near future.

Probably not. All of the altcoins follow the path of bitcoin for price.
I don't think we'll see anything significant this year. Even calculating it in a positive way, The rest of 5 months will be gone for compensating the loss in the last 7 months. Even a sharp rise would benefit Bitcoin more than the altcoins.

Why not. Income return for altcoin is big in every ICO. Even though the value is low, the difference is the volume that we have.

It will pretty much depend on bitcoin price, actually. If bitcoin manage to come back at the end of this year, then we will definitely see another altcoin season.

I think altcoin is not only influenced by the price of Bitcoin, but there are also some altcoins that are affected by the price of ethereum, I think a lot of altcoin will recover by the end of the year, even I'm sure there is altcoin that will soar at the end of the year.

Thanks for the opinion. I also think so. Bitcoin took years to come at this position. But hope for the best.

Yes, there is a possibility to regain BTC's peak position in the future. But I don't think it will go at that price($19000) in this year.

I also believe this. There are a good number of cryptocurrency out there. Once they got the trust from people they will be the boom.

I think so. I have high hopes with some altcoinsnspecially those in the top 10 of the market susch as ETH, EOS, ADA and IOTA. They are quality coins with high potential in the future. In fact, I believe more in altcoins than Bitcoin in terms of long term value.

indeed altcoin going to rock, it's because the improvement, in order to attract users, we know that here technological blockchain can still be developed and combined with a great project. not all altcoin I mean going to rock, because we know that some altcoins exist that can not survive because there is no development on the part of the developer.

Sadly, this is true, but is it supposed to be this way? Throughout the history of crypto-market bitcoin's dominance was generally decreasing, but at the times when the price was going down, it was increasing. The current dominance is very strong, so firstly we need btc to start recovering and then we will see people being open for other investments. However, something might change in the future, because many blockchain projects don't have much in common with bitcoin and should be considered as investment opportunities regardless to what is happening with btc.

Yes That's true.
Altcoin is different from bitcoin.
Altcoin has good programming development, is safe, and more accessible.
One of the weaknesses of altcoin is the often unstable price indicates we should be more careful if we want to invest in altcoin.
however, altcoin can be advantageous to x10 rather than bitcoin if the altcoin has a good development.

Why not. Income return for altcoin is big in every ICO. Even though the value is low, the difference is the volume that we have.

As the ICO value of the coin is very negligible so even a certain rise in the coin price becomes huge as those are in cents or few dollars. So when the price starts to rise and reaches 500$ or thousands etc the % of small increase is small and thus % wise gain only such small price tokens can be a great for future.

It could be that way, altcoint for the future will grow even better, but now the market condition is declining, while the price of coint all depends on bitcoint, while bitcoint itself is also now decreased, hopefully this condition does not last long

As far as distribution method goes, the only fair distribution model is no premine, no developers fees, equal start for everyone. Like in bitcoin.
As far as proof of work algo goes, they can all become prone to specialized hardware (ASIC). The ones that are resistant to ASIC, are probably not widespread enough and therefore not lucrative enough to use specialized hardware.
As far as programming language goes, the altcoins developers should be very careful not to create security risks with their versatility.

Given all this, I don't see any altcoin that is going to rock this year.

There's no guarantee that history will repeat instead bitcoin has gone through a year where the market completely bearish that it's stagnant around 200-400 USD at that time and moving slowly.
The yearly price cycle of bitcoin is merely a data, the market purely come from demands so it's up to the people who decides whether it's time to pump or dump.

For me this will not be a good year for crypto. Based on the movement of the prices and the status of the market, the best we could expect until the end of the year is to recover.

I have no hope for many altcoins. Bitcoin rally has to start for altcoins shinny days I think. And BTC can't make its move anyway. If Bitcoin will start rising, then we can wait for alts
