Sherlock Holmes, as you may know is the best detective and genius of all time.  As a tribute to the great works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and to the man himself, Mr Holmes. This coin is solely based on character of Sherlock Holmes and the ingenuity shown whilst solving mysteries, the same ingenuity can be seen in this coin. I am dedicating this coin to all the enthusiasts of Sherlock Holmes, I believe and have faith that this coin will make it through and will be a success, This will be something to hold on to and cherish. is this normal?
is there anyway to see if the hashes are correct hashes even???

On Cgminer though it will show block accepted right after new block detected if you have solved a block and the reward will appear in your wallet right away.

Finally a start that doesnt fail

Bodni, you have to edit the wallet withdraw page. You have on demands set to take 0.2 coins and minimum withdraw set to 1 coin.

That doesn't look good in light of a prior poster saying his 66 Coin has been stuck on your server with no response.

To top that off, I found the first block. We have currently found 3 blocks, 2 of the 3 blocks credit me with 0.00000000 (including the block I found)

221 second block time X 419 Blocks = 92,599 seconds correct / 86400 Seconds (Amount of seconds for a day) gives you the exact time needed to get to 419 blocks which is roughly more than 1 day not taking into account difficulty changes I think we should get there in roughly 2 - 3 days the most.

However, in your coin description, it is clearly written down that "Sherlock Holmes, as you may know is the best detective and genius of all time". Hmm that's strange did you add the nodes on the OP? Oh btw backup your wallet and delete everything on %APPDATA%/SherlockCoin/ (except wallet.dat) ofcourse and let the blockchain re-download.

I am having the same issue.  I copied my wallet.dat and redownloaded the wallet on a different computer and transfered the wallet.dat there.  it seems to work fine. I have been tinkering with the wallet on my main computer and no matter what i do, i cannot connect to any nodes and download the blockchain.

Wallet does still not synchronize.

Any suggestions?

It got to 10.3MH then dropped back to 10.1MH and stuck between 10-10.3MH. I was getting about 1\3 of blocks, so the real network hash should be about 30MH. I think you need to look into this issue.

BTW thanks for the clarifications, maybe you should increase giveaway sums? Maybe 221 doyles instead of 22?

True enough 22 Doyles not much but one can recieve multiples of it with activities that I organize etc, I'm with Sherlock long term my friend , No plans of dumping and killing my own coin! I've seen this happen to other coins , multiple times and again and again , don't want that to happen to Sherlock!

Well, 1 holmes is ok too, I just wanted the author of Sherlock Holmes to be in this coin. Arthur Conan Doyle, Arthur sounds complicated, Conan sounds somewhat brutal, Doyle sounds too soft to me. But any of these is good for the smallest part, it's up to Soopy and community to decide, which one to use. Personally I like Conan most, it sounds more noble to me ^^

Solo mining under windows is working for me with the following:

sherlockcoin-qt.exe is being run with the -server option

.conf file:

rpcuser=user

Was able to mine for a few hours yesterday.  Tried all of the regular fixes (new copy of the wallet, attempt to download the blockchain again, etc.) Someone seems to be mining successfully since the block explorer keeps chugging along.  How about a peer list from someone who's mining successfully?

Is anyone else still having a problem getting connections?  My wallet keeps showing a connection appear and disappear and my wallet is constantly out of sync. As great as this is, you seem to miss the ONE thing that the communities ACTUALLY give a shit about Mate - Reliability!

I don't mean this in an offensive way, nor mean to be rude to you as we have been working on and off with one another for a long time, and the work you create/do is very high quality. Apart from the respect I have for you as a developer, there are a few things missing here.

- NO ONE knows who you are. NO ONE!
- The work is intermittent at the best of times, no matter how good the quality of your development is.
- You NEVER finish a project to it's end , especially ones we have worked on.

and the biggest one of all ...

- You disappear for lengthy periods of time and reappear for very brief periods of time only to go into hiding again.

Again, I mean you no disrespect in any way, but Mate, since I don't know your real name after more than 6 years of contact with you, that is THE ONE indication that the reliability factor is basically Zero. With your work being as good as it is, if you had worked with me/us on a continuous basis, people KNOW who you are, don't disappear and are reliable in the methods you choose to function with Crypto, then I would believe wholeheartedly that you would have Millions of Dollars in your pocket and NEVER look back.

Since you don't, and aren't, then you are still in the same situation as you have been for the last 9 years I have known you.

I hope these developments that you have published, as well as your interventions in Crypto, are regular and not your last.
