For the  second dividend payout and onwards, we will use an innovative dividend-distribution methodology that will  reward long-term investor confidence in Nexo and also decrease market volatility around ex-dividend dates. This approach will result in the dividend profit-sharing to be split into two parts:
 
Base Dividend - paid out to all eligible token holders proportionally to their NEXO Token holdings;
 
Loyalty Dividend - paid out individually for each NEXO Token based on how long it has been in the Nexo Wallet from one ex-dividend date to the next. The share of the Loyalty Dividend will be no less than 1/3 of the total dividend amount to be distributed in any given period.
 
This approach aims to ensure fairness in dividend distribution, prevent fraud, market and price manipulation which are sometimes witnessed with dividend-yielding common stocks around the world.

Based on the current circulating supply, the payout per NEXO would be roughly $0.0017. However, this assumes that the entire circulating supply is stored on the platform by eligible dividend investors. The real payout per token will likely be many multiples higher.

This news comes just weeks after Nexo announced that it plans to offer a 6.5% interest rate for investors who store stablecoins on the platform. The current list includes TrueUSD (TUSD), USDCoin (USDC), Gemini Dollar (GUSD), Paxos Standard Token (PAX) and Maker’s Dai (DAI).






It may be difficult to call the bottom in many coins just now ....but not NEXO.

Dividend Distribution. Dividends are calculated in USD and paid in your Nexo Wallet in BTC, ETH and/or NEXO Tokens and/or USD stable coin, whichever creates greater value for NEXO Token holders at the given moment, which will be decided by Nexo.23 Nov 2018

If we are paid in lets say Nexo, then maybe some will sell now or hodl, if btc or eth probably the same...
If paid in $ many would consider to buy more Nexo or other crypto while its still cheap in the bear times.

The volume will increase but it’s just a cycle. The NEXO Oracle will be selling into the buyers who will be paying off and the cycle repeats. It will help with liquidity but will not be a benefit for us holders. We benefit when more people join us in holding NEXO on the platform and not trading. Otherwise there are a billion NEXO that will be floating around in 4 years.

Volume is one of the most important factors which have dramatic impacts on price movements (both upwards and downwards).
Increased volume implies so many things which happened behind the scene.

Current volume (5M+) hasn't been seen since June. I'll take it as a good sign.
