one of the mayor drawback of Bitcoin is the long waiting for confirmation.

I wonder why no the system just, lets say, to increase confirmation speed by 4, target*4 for 24 blocks/hour, reduce the block reward by 4, 50/4=12.5, and increase the number of blocks for reducing the reward *4.

That will also help to promote solo mining a bit more.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

How does this answer OP's question?

If all the sovereign non-cryptocurrencies will eventually collapse from hyperinflation, you can't afford *not* to invest in Bitcoin...  See my blog at http://minetopics.blogspot.com/ .
