I saw such a significant number of those shitty ICO tricks expressing they would "10x" after coin distribution, and tragically I have almost certainly that the uneducated people succumbed to it. It's a terrible method to bring new people into crypto, through trick promotions on the universes most well known social media network...
The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

I hope they are much stricter now. Mark Zuckerburg is a visionary so I'm sure he knows that cryptocurrencies have a future so that is why change his mind and reverse his decision. ICOs are really risky and sometimes misleading so I won't mind if they stopped those ads again.

I think this is a good news that Facebook has lifted it's ban against cryptocurrency ads. However, ads about ICOs and MLM related cryptos are still banned. But I think this is a good start. What do you think about this? Will this affect the price of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general? Is this a preview of an upcoming bullrun?

Here are some sources:

https://www.cnbc.com/video/2018/06/26/facebook-reverses-ban-on-cryptocurrency-ads.html

https://cointelegraph.com/news/facebook-s-crypto-ad-ban-reversal-power-play-gets-their-own-news-stuck

https://www.recode.net/2018/6/26/17505876/facebook-cryptocurrency-ads-bitcoin-ico-ban-reversed

I always read this in this forum. Its always a topic here about the banning of ICO projects in facebook and othe social media. Well, if Mark Zuckerburg lifted its banned against cryptocurrency ads its a good news because they are open to crypro world now. If ever still Crypto projects are still banned well I think Mark Zuckerburg has a reason for it.

maybe Facebook is starting to consider they want to start adopting cryptocurrency for services that Facebook provides
for example, you can use FB Tokens to pay for FB Ads or so on
then the only way to be able to walk is, by opening access to crypto ads on the Facebook platform

Is this a preview of an upcoming bullrun?

Hi nonconformist!

As much as facebook's decision to ban cryptocurrency on their platform had an impact on the crypto economy, them revising their decision and allowing again most of the cryptocurrency related postings (with the exemption of ICOs, Exchange and other Trading adverts) does not indicate nor preview an upcoming bullrun. I doubt that facebook have a hand to create one.

Though this is a very good news, its a sign that things are warming up. Facebook revoking the cryptocurrency ban (again, most of it) will allow once again the unrestricted flow of information that could boost more of this economy. Right now, unrestricted access to information and freedom to promote cryptocurrencies are quite essential for global adoption and growth. Really glad facebook lifted the ban.

What an interesting announcement! I sure that  more and more people will research on bitcoin and the future of Bitcoin will be improved. That is a pity for ICO and MLM.

This is good cause I don't really know the reason for the ban in the first place. Because Facebook itself is partaking in the block chain development now they lifted the ban. That is absurd. Anyway facebook is welcome onboard, thanks for supporting the crypto world.

Revocation of the ban on crypto ads from Facebook has not affected its price movements because the crypto market, especially Bitcoin, is currently not affected by the news circulating, but the current price movements are more influenced by market activity than traders so to increase the price of bitcoin needs more there are many more trusts from traders and investors towards bitcoin so that the demand for bitcoin will increase and this will make the price of bitcoin move upwards.

This was not a 'reversal' but an update to its January ad policy change, which it promised to revisit at the time. But it also reflects a mellower mood on cryptocurrency than at the beginning of the year, when bitcoin was in the middle of a free-fall from its December high water valuation over $19,000. Now it's rested at just over $6,000 (as of this writing), and in the interim, Facebook even started considering its own coin. It remains to be seen whether Twitter and Google will also relax their stances on banning cryptocurrency ads.

Amazing move by the managers of facebook. I believe they are seeing beyond what they can imagine. The good and awesome offers bitcoin can give. Bitcoin though going down price wise still have to uphold.

I don't know the reason for the ban in the first place, is it because they don't have a blockchain and now they possess blockchain they are looking for a way people can advertise there project also. It is not possible.

For the entire period of the ban on crypto-currency ads, I have never been blocked. I think that all the prohibitions were only in words, and they did nothing.
