Bitcoin went from $1 to $10,000 in 9 years. Never been heard of.. and Bitcoin got $350,000,000,000.  Roll Eyes

HYIP cartel is most likely using Bitcoin for their 200% profit per month HYIP programs/ponzis.

Will FBI investigation come to Bitcoin ??
Yes, bitcoin is responsible for committing horrendous crimes, so now they are gonna get investigated by the FBI. (sarcasm)

Bitcoin is a crypto, FBI doesn't deal with these. The SEC does. SEC goes after scammers.

Investigate all the transactions is not possible but of course FBI and other governments agencies in the world investigate on it as they are used in different manners and still on illegal ones.

Every single Bitcoin user gets their own FBI agent assigned to them. Mine was my best man at my civil partnership recently.

My hands are actually fitted with a type of overglove on top of his hands which means he can override every single thing I type and do. I also have to allow him to fit into the same suit and pyjamas as myself.

You're telling me you don't have one, OP? You must be some serious deadbeat not to warrant one.

Woah, this really got me curious. Does this apply in all countries? I never heard any stories like this though.
How can you meet the fbi agent assigned to you?

no, nothing to do. bitcoin is a digital currency that determines its own value and is volatile. if there is one case of bitcoin being used as a political tool, then naturally the FBI will investigate it. because the FBI does not have the authority to investigate a digital asset.

maybe even though it is less likely, because the FBI always searches for something viral or attracts the attention of the world in particular, but if the country's intelligence comes to bitcoin, there will be no crime or crime found therein.

This has been done already. Few months after they knew that bitcoin can be used to buy guns, drugs, etc., the FBI already made their action. To avoid this crimes, simply stick to your work which I assume is legal so that you will not get into trouble. Just think of profits and accept it whether it is small or big.

Even if FBI comes for investigation here in crypto still they can make it possible as anonymity is indeed in this community..but for me if the FBI has a capability to do such i will support this action just make sure that this will not be used for abusing and for personal interest

FBI Currently Investigating 130 Crypto-Related Cases. It tries to help prevent the illicit use of cryptocurrencies including bitcoin, dash, zcash, and monero. In order to do this, the FBI analyzes crypto-currencies, the methods of their application, the composition of teams of various projects. At the moment the FBI want to improve its investigative technology to combat cybercrime.

I don't see any sense to this happening. There is no central figure in bitcoin so who's gonna get interrogated by the FBI? Perhaps the people using it normally? No. If they've done that, they would have to do it to all parties involved to practice impartiality.

Bitcoin isn't an entity that is visible that can easily be investigated. Investigating Bitcoin is not possible at all. I would agree with you if it's investigating transactions made with Bitcoin in order to trace the source and receiver. Unfortunately the whole process is anonynous, then I wonder how exactly the investigation would be conducted!

I don't think the FBI is concerned about bitcoin.  Cash is still more used in shady black market deals than bitcoin is.  They go after crime, FBI is not interested in targeting a digital currency.  The SEC is the group that will be investigating ICOs and fradulent cryptos.

This is not a bad thing. The FBI investigation of Bitcoin also has their reasons. Bitcoin is a decentralized transactional and anonymous transaction, so it is used by criminals to do bad things. Therefore, the law must interfere with Bitcoin so that it becomes cleaner.

It's too hard to trace all transactions on the blockchain tha are anonymous. People with bad intentios will use other coins like Monero that are not tracable at all.

I don't think so, or I do not think that any true information would be or will be given here, FBI knows how to work anonymously same as how BTC works anonymously, however, I do not think that it is a valid reason to be given a statement that the FBI would investigate on it, the FBI is always tracking, they always do.

I would like to mention something slightly off topic. SEC are investigating Elon Musk over his purported attempt to manipulate his Tesla company share price by tweeting out that he wants to buy back investors' shares and make his company private again. His tweet was enough to increase share price considerably in matter of days. I reckon if Bitcoin gets regulated pump and dump instigators and fake news speculators might get investigated for attempted market manipulation as well. Perhaps not by the FBI per say, more likely by the SEC and other agencies alike in different countries.

If you go from start then you will come to know that Bitcoin came to Lime-light when FBI conducted raid on silk route and when cleaning it they got the details about bitcoin and its technology. They Auctioned the BTC which they received in Silk Route Raid, then how do you think that they are going to Investigate in BTC. It can be that FBI are Investigating other Altcoins which are giving false commitment and scamming investors. Which is also good, even recently Bitconnect India Head got caught in Law hands for the false commitment they gave to investors and thought of scamming and running out. So now the Legal Law is tracking the ICO which are scammers and getting ready to punish them.
