The FBI has been investigating Bitcoin transactions for years now. In fact I recently saw news about this again:

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is currently running 130 different cryptocurrency-related investigations, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

FBI Supervisory Special Agent Kyle Armstrong told the Crypto Evolved conference in New York that the agency is investigating a variety of crimes, including human trafficking, drug transactions, kidnapping and ransomware, which have a cryptocurrency component, according to Bloomberg.

Further, there has recently been an uptick in cases involving cryptocurrencies, he said, citing opioids as one area where the bureau needs to focus on. Roughly 10 percent of drug users worldwide purchase drugs online in illegal digital marketplaces.

Some parts of the U.S. have also seen an increase in extortion schemes, where the perpetrators wish to use cryptocurrencies.

That being said, these "threat-tagged" investigations only make up a "small sliver" of the thousands of  cases the agency has, he said.

And unlike crimes involving cash, Armstrong said the blockchain's immutability makes it easier to track transactions. On the flip side, cryptocurrencies' anonymity or pseudonymity make it more difficult to properly investigate a crime.

Avoiding ending up in trouble is really easy: Just don't buy anything illegal. The problem is if you are sending Bitcoin to someone that is a criminal and you don't know it, or somehow received "tainted" coins etc.

Funny. Of course it is insane for authorities to pretend to track every single bitcoin transaction , let alone every single transaction in any other cryptos, it's simply impossible, but thinking that the FBI is not actively and daily trying to track down bitcoin users it's naive.

Probably but they could be actively investigating bitcoin users itself through their activities on blockchain, and not as a person unless they know who particularly owns the address they are monitoring.

Why would simply investigating bitcoin will make FBI the enemy of humanity? It's not like they investigate it so that they can stop people from using bitcoin. They are only investigating it since long before 2017 to prevent money laundering and crimes related to crypto.

It begins with "130 fringe deep web cases" and it ends up in efforts to control every transaction. Remember that Jeff Garzik is working in bloq, a technology to try to monitor the blockchain and track everything.

Localbitcoins is already not safe to use. You can have bad luck and be trying to get 100 bucks in cash and you end up arrested by some cop. The bastards want to put everyone in jail, even us poor people trying to save up some money and get some extra money in cash to meet monthly expenses. It is a lottery. I am too paranoid to move Bitcoin at this point out of the crypto system, they can label you a criminal if they want even if you are innocent.

Maybe FBI investigation will come to bitcoin but they will invest who the satoshi Nakamoto no one actually knows who is that or the blockchain network which is virtual.Hmm then who will be the crime partner.Maybe all the investors of bitcoin will be investigated anyone thinks this is possible?

Lmao. How do they even begin investigating Bitcoin itself? It doesn't set the prices, which is what you assume will be the reason to bring about an investigation. It's just code that people use in the most basic sense.

Bitcoin is not going anywhere bruh But the people who make money illegally are !! As long as you stay clear , you are good to go with your BTC.
Over the years, the cyber crimes have increased and particularly those involving BTC have definitely increased because of the anonymity BTC provides over any other payment method. Maybe the FBI investigates bitcoin to prevent it from misused. We know that bitcoin is decentralized and transactions made unknown identity. So, there are possibilities that it could use for money laundering and any illegal transactions. This is just for the safety of everyone.

well i was ones a victim of liberty reserve ban in some years back by the fbi and ever since then many digital currency payment platform such as perfect money have migrated from .com domain to other custom domain. you may some correct about some HYIP cartel using bitcoin for profit but all these are just hoax and until we all see a tangle information about this, we shall keep witnessing many more hoax. if FBI is going to investigate this who are they going to investigate?. Bitcoin is always under investigation because bitcoin is use to not good activities that's the reason why others doing investigation against bitcoin.
