Why not allow the sale and transfer of Donator / VIP tags so people who are dissatisfied can sell them?

You mean sell the account? Fine, I do for 50 BTC for you. Deal?
No.  How much was 50BTC worth when you donated it?

It worth 50 BTC. Deal?

These tags were always set at 50BTC and always will be. That is the forums rules.
Yes for new donators.  But theymos could certainly allow the private sale and transfer of them, maybe with a transfer fee.  Perhaps someone wants to quit bitcoin or this forum because they are dissatisfied or maybe they have an emergency and this would give them some much needed funds.  Why not let them sell?  Although I suspect that for all the bitching and moaning no Donator / VIP is willing to sell his/her tag at a discount which means that even without the new software they place a high value on it.

Not the account just the tag.
EDIT You can sell the accounts now. It's not prohibited.

"I am using the money for forum software development"  So far this is just a claim you made.
Although until recently theymos hadn't spent anything on a new version of the forum, he most certainly has spent bitcoins on "forum software development". Theymos could technically bill the time he has spent making mods for this forum against the donated funds. This is in addition to the security updates (such as the password system update) and bounties that we have farmed out. So, even without a new forum, donated bitcoins have been continuously spent on improving the forum.

So, where are the answers? The promised announcement? The financial statement of 2013?

Refund of Donations is not something I would ever expect, and the idea of a lawsuit is silly, imo.

The hipocrisy comes from other way too
. Now that the btc is worth 100x more you all want your donations back.. you are so greddy....  im nothing related to admins on this forums but im surprised to see this.. you paid 50 btcs or around, to only have a coloured custom title saying vip and thats all. End of history
