Seriously, how are you calculating your profit?

You can't count the returned stake of a winning bet as profit.

According to what you posted you won (0.2 + 0.11 + 1.1 = ) 1.41 and lost 2. That would mean you lost 0.59 units total.

You're right, sorry about that. I have updated my post with the right numbers. That last match returned 3.10 units not 2.10 units. Next time I won't type so fast. Cool

Even at 3.1 I believe you would still only be at +0.41 Units. Anyway, good picks tho! I never bet on E-Sports.. I dont follow it enough. Im about 285 - 138 record so far in the last month in reg sports on Bitbook. Hit me up if anyone has any questions. Ill post picks as I make them in your other betting thread.

Yes, I know thats why I updated my post. How many units are you up or down for last month? Last month for my VIP picks I was down over 11 units. But my free picks and personally picks kept my bankroll growing. I am going to make esports part of my normal betting for now on. I have fun playing league of legends and watching the matches with money on the line really makes things more fun to watch.

Match #1 is done. Fnatic lost to SK Gaming. SK earned my respect this match, they took control of this match over the best team in the EU LCS. I'm glad I only put 1 unit on each match.

My Picks
Fnatic (1.242/-413): Lose
SHC XD (2.170/+117): Win Returned: 2.17 (This was my underdog pick)
ROCCAT (1.523/-191): Win Returned: 1.53
Gambit Gaming (1.236/-424): Win Returned: 1.23

Total Wagered: 4
Total Returned: 4.93
Profit: +0.93

Fnatic failed me but I respect SK skills. SHC won as I knew they would. ROCCAT pulled off the win, I didn't get to watch the whole thing but when I was watching it seem like they was going to lose. I put it out of my mind until I remember the last match (which I didn't get to watch) and seen that my bet on ROCCAT had won. Gambit Gaming is a force to be dealt with and they played one of the worse teams in EU LCS so it was an easy win in my mind, although I didn't get to watch this match either. So I don't know if they struggled or not. I will watch it later to see.

My picks for tomorrow will be posted after I finish watching the video of today's matches.

Friday's Matches For EU LCS (League of Legends)
Alliance vs Supa Hot Crew
Fnatic vs Millenium
Copenhagen Wolves vs ROCCAT
SK Gaming vs Gambit Gaming
------------------------------
My Picks
Supa Hot Crew (2.290 / +129)
Fnatic (1.309 / -324)
Copenhagen Wolves (3.000 / +200)
SK Gaming (4.090 / +309)

Those are my picks for tomorrow. I feel Fnatic is my underdog pick for Friday only because Millenium is due for a win. They are bound to win a game sooner or later. (Just hope it isn't against Fnatic) On a side note, if any of you play LoL please pm me your name on there. We can have some matches as I do need to build up my account. Im only on level 12 and learning as I go. Cool

My Picks Results
Supa Hot Crew (2.290 / +129): Risked 1 Unit; Returned: 2.29 Units
Fnatic (1.309 / -324): Risked 1 Unit; Lose
Copenhagen Wolves (3.000 / +200): Risked 1 Unit; Lose

SK Gaming (4.090 / +309): Risked 1 Unit; Returned: 4.09 Units

Total Units Wagered: 4
Total Units Returned: 6.38
Profit: +2.38

I am kind of disappointed with today because I knew Millenium was due for a win but I still went with Fnatic. That move was just not smart but I still came out on top today. I will post my picks for NA LCS later today for Saturday matches.

I'm curious, how do you cap the matches?  I know nothing about e-sports but have always thought that someone who is very knowledgeable could really beat the books since there are so few that carry lines on the games, so those lines must be susceptible to being beatable.  Is there a pretty well defined hierarchy where Team A should always beat Team B who should always beat Team C ect ect?  Is it rock-paper-scissors like Magic where if a team uses a certain combination they can beat a team using another certain combination, but will always lose if the other team uses a different combination?  I'm always interested in learning about poorly-defined markets because there is a strong possibility to capitalize (for example a team that is listed at +200, but has a 40% chance to win the game is a tremendous bet, and one that you'll never see in nba/nfl/nhl/mlb).  Thanks for any info you can provide.

I typed a lot but deleted it. Honestly, I have no idea about other esports besides league of legends. Which is why you see me only posting my picks about those matches. The best way for me to decide for the EU LCS matches is watch how they played last week to decide the thursday matches then from there decide the friday matches. As for NA LCS is the same for Saturday matches and then decide Sunday matches from there.

There are matches where team A is a 60% favorite and Team B has +100 or better odds to win the match. For example, Copenhagen Wolves vs SHC on Thursday. Supa Hot Crew had +117 odds, fans voted 40% for them to win, and really did have a 50% chance of winning.

Cool, I guess that's basically what I'm asking...since there aren't very many people capping the matches, do you think that the lines that are put out are basically based on fans voting and not necessarily the actual skill disparity between the teams?  I always figured that was the case (and thus would make the lines very beatable) but I have no idea how the game works so I can't really check my theory.

I tried to watch a couple of games, and while I certainly understand the basics of the game, I didn't know what was going on.  I don't know if a team does something that's very skillful or very sloppy, it just kind of looks like running back and forth to me.  Is there a way for me to educate myself aside from just putting hundreds of hours into the game?
