Bitcoins are easier to buy that is why it is more popular. But I think investments are much better than btc. I found a really good ICO - Socratus.  It is an insurance ecosystem which provides a digital platform with instant claim payment products for insurance companies, so any insurance company can connect the platform to become the part of Insurance Digital Ecosystem. In my opinion, it is good that they work with different kinds of insurances such as property, flight delay, cyber insurance and the core aim of the project is to help insurance companies to save their money and get their business on a new level. Like, they can help the insurance company to lower expenses from 15% to 25% on claims handling and operational expenses. Moreover, they powered by Smart-contracts & Socratus Oracles. It means that there is no more solo human decisions to pay or not to pay, no more lingering manual claims handling procedures. I think this is really cool and it seems like an innovative and demanded project.

Oh it can. Why can't there be safety? Anyways for price swinging, they are a normal happening in crypto. Prices do swing all the time but at the end, it goes up and up. The fact is that so far as you can make a profit so should you also consider there might be a small swing.

some people don't like taking risks or are afraid to. its rational to be afraid to lose a lot but if you are prepared with a plan in mind and you watch the market you should minimise the risk of loosing

In every investments, there corresponds a risk. So if you decide to invest especially here in crypto currency world, you must accept that risk is a part of it. Just be brave and smart in your decisions.

 Be careful on conflating two different things here. Just because crypto exchanges and bank accounts can get used in the same sentence, doesn’t mean that the risk is equivalent.Crypto wallets are “unlocked” when you know the passcode (i.e. private key); think of this like a bank PIN. If you don’t share the passcode/PIN with anyone, you’ll be fine.
 The thing with crypto though, is that it’s not insured by the government/banks, so if someone pilfers your funds at a bank, you’ll have some recourse to get the lost capital back (generally).
 With crypto, it’s far less forgiving!

 Yes, we do have some horror stories to learn some lessons from. Imagine a platform like MtGox was leaking funds for a year and nobody ever came close to a mere suspicion. It was giant, we had to trust them.
 Having said that, your Bank account is pretty much secure. Because exchanges normally do not ask for Bank accounts they usually accept deposits in BTC or Altcoins. Very few require Bank details.
 Even those who ask for Bank details are secure. Because to move funds from your Bank a/c you would require to initiate a Wire, use a debit/credit card etc. and that requires interaction with your Bank and in some case a written disclosure to initiate a wire.
 Secondly, reputed exchanges have a 2FA security system via Google authenticator app or a randomly generated code sent to your Cell Phone when you make a transaction higher than a defined threshold. The same must be verified.
 So, as you can see that you are pretty much safe. But remember Credit card details are exception to this answer.

You are safe from any risk , if you are not going to put all your money in investing Bitcoin.  You are safe if you are not going to do something risky about all  assets.  You are right anyway. Keeping  all your money in the bank for many years, do you think it is safer? It is safer because you never get worried what Will  happen with your  money, but still the bank using them for business. While keeping half  of your money with Bitcoin for years, the value is getting higher . That is the time you can see your investment works and how is it the value of  Bitcoin Will gonna change your  life forever.

Overall, in my opinion, there is no secure investment. No matter in what you invest, every thing is at its own risk. But if you do not try, you can never win.

risk in investment is always there.

we take the example of you investing in building a hospital.
maybe the Hospital also needs building maintenance, work tool shrinkage, employee salaries etc.
if the hospital does not sell then it is your risk that you have to be covered.
