Why the StackCoin ?

The recent increase in popularity of crypto-currencies led to a new “gold rush” of the Internet. More and more investors join the market every day, looking for faster and better profits.
The purpose of "StackCoin" is to make a coin whose value will increase rapidly and constantly, with a reasonable life time. For doing so, the block reward will lower by 15% monthly.
Assuming a constant network hashrate, this should give a steady increase in the value of the currency every month, encouraging people to hold a part of their coins.
We hope that this will limit the supply versus the demand and therefore prevent the currency of being devalued.


Our plans:

The simple idea behind this concept is that you won’t leave loser. When you’re in, you win!
 It will be rewarding for early adopters while being promising for newcomers. We hope that the community will grow fast, and this will be our primary goal.
We are already present on social networks, and will post fresh news regularly.

We are currently looking for pool operators that would be interested in taking pre-registering and be ready for the launch day. Pooled mining will be available at launch!
As for pools, we will take contact as soon as possible with exchanges to make it available to trade quickly.

We want to make StackCoin more than a simple alternative crypto-currency. This will be a full time project for us, and we will need to expand our team over the time in order to perfect every aspect of the project.

If you want to join us, we give you an opportunity of owning StackCoins before everyone else by investing in the project through our IPCO (Initial Public Coin Offering)!
7.12 billion pre-mined StackCoins will be granted to IPCO investors. This is roughly 5.30% of the total 134.4 billion that will be mined.

Two stages of IPCO will take place. At the end of each stage, the total reward amount will be divided proportionally between each investor, according to the following formula:
 Reward = Stage amount * (Personal Investment / Total Investment)

The first stage will last 7 days, between 10/02/2014 00:00 and 17/02/2014 00:00. 4 billion coins will be awarded at the end of the stage
The second stage will last 5 days, between 17/02/2014 00:00 and 22/02/2014 00:00 (Launch day). For this stage, 2.72 billion coins will be distributed.
Bonus stage -> end on 22/02/2014 at 10am. 1.5 billions coins, 400mil are from premine the rest is from our own investment

We are not here to talk about them, but this has nothing to do with StackCoin. Our point of view is described in our post and our website.
What we focus on is the coin concept : A "short term" coin (relative to other cryptos indeed, we rely on 5 years of living) that will create a more dynamic market.
This coin is made to be a currency and being actively exchanged, StackCoin is all about this: Business. We don't want to impose ourselves as a so-called "great cause".
