I have lost Hugh amount of bitcoin, and I believe some person's here too have gone through same. Can we please share our experience and lessons.

My story :My wallet was hacked, by God knows who. That was 2017 may. I logged in to my blockchain wallet to notice that 0.9  btc I have been accumulating Since 2016 has been taken. Leaving less than $5 worth of bitcoin for me.

My lesson :  don't trust anyone with your crypto, laptop or password. Because I believe someone close to me did that.
Good lesson, especially for newbie. And this became one of the cons of the p2p frenetic scene that we are proud of.

In this case you should keep and watch out for securing your wallet from everything, either your friends or your family. If you connect your wallet on the internet you should pay attention to delete the history of the browser to keep your wallet safe. It all depends on you how to secure it and if you neglect to do so you can lose property in your wallet.

Do not worry too much about losses on the cryptocurrency market. The biggest part of money that users have is not earned but acquired through speculation on the market. That’s all and nothing more believe me.

As for me, I lost my tokens on exchange. All my tokens were on it and soon It was scam. So put your money only in the wallets with private keys. It is much safer.

Thanks for your information. I felt I had to be wary of the people around me. Wherever possible keep your private key in a safe place. I recommend buying wallet hardware because the security level is better than an online wallet.

Thats why I always split my amount in various exchange and wallets. Suppose I have 1 btc then I split them in 10 parts so if I loose some amount I didn't regret for that.

Then I want to buy a hardware wallet is a good choice. Grin
Because the hardware wallet is secure enough, you can avoid these situations.

Yes. a friend to you. Frequently touching your computer has done it. You should leave it all out if you do not use it. The safest way to do this is if your computer is running and you are not there

This is the best option! Buying a hardware wallet will increase the security level of your wallet, but do not share with anyone the words for recovery.

A very nice of you to share this kind of experience. And I agree with you that don’t  trust anyone with your password, private key etc in this world of crypto and even the outside world in terms of money some people really having the evil plans just to get coins. So the only person you need to trust is yourself, except to your Wife if she is into crypto.

Your first mistake was leaving your coins in a hot wallet, a hot wallet like an online wallet is fine if you are going to do some spending so you can always access your wallet from your smartphone but you should only carry some small amount of money but when you are accumulating coins you should do it in a clean machine, a hardware wallet or a paper wallet.

It happens, especially if you are not very territorial about your assets. Get a hardware wallet, keep it secure, do not share info with anyone.

Most of us have encountered that kind of scammy experience wherein we have trusted people who has ill intentions against us. Also there are those who lost their coins whether its bitcoin or another coin or token because of negligence like lost or stolen laptops or gadgets or that break down and the hard drive cannot be retrieved losing all those coins forever.

I lost a lot of my coins, it's 70%, because I played in margin trading. This type of trade is very dangerous and I do not advise it to anyone.
margin trading is not easy, but the profits that can you get from margin trading are also great. I advise you to do artbitraging rather than margin trading if you have not experience in margin trading. artibitraging I think is easier if the moment is good
