even do not use a website to store your crypto. you must own your private keys of your crypto. otherwise its not yours. also do not store your private keys online. use a hardware wallet or a paper wallet. then you will be 100% safe. keep few backups too

Really a very unfortunate encounter. Once the market enters the bear market, there will be a lot of hackers, and various attack exchanges, personal computers, they always get their ill-gotten gains through their own technology. So don't let your private key appear on the web.

Thats awful when things happen like this, escpecially when someone close to you took a part in it, crypto easy to steal by different ways, the best to do is hold it on usb and dont tell anyone about your holdings

If ever that you've experienced it while you don't know where elsewhere did that all things came from then you should be worried that this might because of the hackers or something. Since we are here in a world of digital currency we can't figure it out what's going on in the market and if you can make as far as you can to built a very own private security then go for it

Even you are using hardware or paper wallet still there is no 100% assurance of being since we need those keys for online transaction. Only it is less possibility of being hack. The securities we bond is our own handling of private keys and mostly people get hack due to visiting questionable sites. That's why we need to check it first before doing anything.

I have lost Hugh amount of bitcoin, and I believe some person's here too have gone through same. Can we please share our experience and lessons.
My story :My wallet was hacked, by God knows who. That was 2017 may. I logged in to my blockchain wallet to notice that 0.9 btc I have been accumulating Since 2016 has been taken. Leaving less than $5 worth of bitcoin for me.
My lesson : don't trust anyone with your crypto, laptop or password. Because I believe someone close to me did that.
Always use hardware wallet to store your crypto for a longer run. Never trust any exchange or online sites for keeping them for a long time. Sad you learn it on a harder way.

That's just sad. I would personally not trust anyone with that kind of stuff, unless it's like my family. This business has it's risk but there are
ways to avoid them. You should have invested into a hardware wallet. If your bitcoin sum was a decent amount I'm sure that was easily
possible.

That is just the way it is, we should never trust in anyone and we must be paranoid about our coins, I know that may sound to be an unhealthy attitude but with the amount of scams and hacks in the forum and the fact that once you lose your coins there is nothing you can do then it is very important to safeguard your coins to the best of your ability and buying a hardware wallet is definitely a good idea.

They shared their account information with others. So, it is very important not to share account passwords and other information to anyone. Moreover, it is necessary to have proper knowledge of doing transactions.

There are now huge investors who are trading in this market. With the ever increasing demand of this market, it has been also the attraction of the hackers also and thieves are everywhere. So to be safe from the thieves, you will need to have some general knowledge of this market and technology. So be careful about your security.

I think if you are new in the market then you should have participate with little amount because there are chance you have lost your coins. Second thing is security of your digital wallet. If you can not maintain your secret paswords or key then you may be lost your coins.

If you decide to invest in crypto currency then you need to take care of the reliability of your access keys. A lot of people lost their money because of their own inattention.

I am very sorry to hear it, and 0.9 btc is a lot of numbers for me, if true even your close friends can not be trusted, this is very disappointing, and from now on I also must be more vigilant again

So sorry to hear this. A friend of mine have lost a couple of bitcoins in his wallet. He left his private keys in his email without deleting it and his email was hacked and the hacker got his private keys and moved his coins. It was a painful moment for him.

I dont have any experience like this, that someone close to you then do get your bitcoin, thats very insane. I got lost my bitcoin from the moment that ive forgot my 12 phrase, i remember that i do save it on a notepad inside the download folder, then when the times that i need to recover my fund, i lost that notepad elsewhere and i cannot find it. Then i realize that i erase all the documents inside that folder. Lesson is dont store your back-up phrase on any gadgets, write it on a paper and hide it in a very safest place that you know.

You can't blame it to anyone but yourself . Why don't you set up 2FA for your wallet? I think if your 2FA security everything would be different . At least this hacker still left $5 for you. LOL. Try to be careful next time and don't forget to set up password for your computer as well to make sure that you're the only one who can access to your computer
