I myself hold a small amount of bitcoins. I heard the price will be dropping to below 100$ by end of February because of the huge MtGox scam. So is it better to sell the bitcoins and take the money to another alt coin? Or is it better to hold on to the bitcoins?

They have some technical issues (mainly due to their own way of processing transactions, instead of sticking to the default) but nothing critical. 2. They claim there is a vulnerability in Bitcoin, but it's just a mistake on their eind. They verify transactions by awaiting confirmation for a specific tx ID, rather than just waiting for a confirmation of the address receiving the coins (no matter through what tx). |

My philosophy is: buy low, sell high. It's low now, so my only question is exactly WHEN to buy. I'm trying to catch a great price.
However, I have no problem if you want to panic sell when it is low. Let me know when you sell, because that will probably be the bottom. When the masses sell in a panic, that's the time to buy.
